At our residential programs, you'll be part mentor, part coach, part steady presence-and a huge part of someone's journey toward independence.
SHEAKLEY CENTER FOR YOUTH is a multipurpose complex for homeless youth. The building houses 36 individual shelter bedrooms for youth ages 18-24, 39 apartments, and a day resource center. Mental health care, life skills and job training, substance abuse services, and help finding employment and safe housing are provided. Our Street Outreach Team is also housed in the Sheakley Center.
Shelter: Each young adult works with a case manager who helps the young adult develop a plan and implement it. The goal is to guide young people into safe, stable housing.
Day Resource Center: A safe place for homeless teenagers and young adults to come in off the streets and get basic need items. Open every day 9:00 a.m. - 5 p.m., food, clothing, toiletries, laundry facilities, and computers are available. A registered nurse provides basic health care and first aid. Lunch is served daily.
Street Outreach Team: They comb Cincinnati to help youth who are experiencing homelessness and connect them to resources.

You'll be working in residential programs including shelters, group homes, and secure settings serving young adults ages 18-24. This is an essential, onsite position-no remote work options.

Day Resource Center: A safe place for homeless teenagers and young adults to come in off the streets and get basic need items. Open every day 9:00 a.m. - 5 p.m., food, clothing, toiletries, laundry facilities, and computers are available. A registered nurse provides basic health care and first aid. Lunch is served daily.
Street Outreach Team: They comb Cincinnati to help youth who are experiencing homelessness and connect them to resources.

Oversees compliance monitoring throughout the grant and contract cycle, ensuring grants are in compliance with established administrative and financial policies, procedures, and sound business practices.
Supervises and guides the Grants Coordinator and works closely with them to prepare and submit compelling grant and contract proposals as well as comprehensive reporting.
Ensures all areas of grant proposals are well-written, meet RFP requirements, and are submitted in a timely manner.
Manages the recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of employees.
Handles performance management and employee relation issues with support of HR.
Monitors data quality in applicable systems to ensure data collected reflects grant, contract, and partnership requirements.
Conducts internal grants and contracts training, as necessary.
Qualifications
What You Bring:
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Writing, English, or a closely related field.
At least five (5) years of progressive administrative experience in a nonprofit or similar setting.
At least three to four (3-4) years of experience in grant writing.
Strong understanding of federal grant regulations.
Proven grant writing ability with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Analytical mindset capable of assessing large amounts of data and business policy.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience using contract management software, preferably Contract Safe.
Experience using a donor database, preferably Raiser's Edge.
Experience using project management software.
Additional Eligibility:
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
High level of computer proficiency and attention to detail.

🏠 Work Environment
This position is based in a residential setting such as shelters, group homes, or detention facilities serving youth ages 0-24. This is an essential, in-person role with no remote option. The work can be physically and emotionally demanding and may include exposure to stressful or hazardous situations.
💪 Physical Requirements
Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the day
Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress environment
⏰ Schedule & Travel
Shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Local travel required; transporting clients using a personal vehicle is expected
