Summary
The Quotations Specialist is responsible for establishing relationships with customers and vendors to secure pricing positions for bids. Responsible for reviewing bid packages, formulating project quotations, and providing product knowledge.
What You'll Do
* Quote low to moderate profile/complex projects
* Review bid package and all the requirements surrounding the package including technical requirements, approved manufactures list, commercial requirements, and documentation Requirements
* Format customer request into a standardized spreadsheet for bid review
* Break down bid package and issues Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors for project quotation levels while communicating deadline, project information, and any additional pertinent information available
* Receive pricing and put a bid tabulation together for review
* Prepare and submit final proposal with all required documentation
* May negotiate pricing with supplier and offer substitute products where appropriate
* Participate in product meetings, seminars, and training schools to enhance and maintain personal product knowledge
* Meet with the team to discuss vendor strategy and margin levels
* Establish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
* Increase business by selling to customers in addition to writing bids
* Other duties as assigned

Facility Solutions Group is seeking an experienced
Lighting Quotations Specialist
to join our growing national accounts team in Dallas, TX. This energetic driven individual would bid, create, and value engineer lighting packages for national customers. The successful candidate would be an energetic team player who possesses a keen attention to detail with the ability to perform these key responsibilities:
- Prepare competitive quotations, bid, and submittals.
- Create and maintain vendor relationships with lighting manufacturers.
- Maintain organized and accurate project files and folders.
- Negotiate pricing and availability with vendors.
- Cultivate relationships with industry professionals to build business.
- Review bid materials and make alternate recommendations to assist with customer budget constraints.
- Follow up on quotations to assist in closing new business opportunities.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
- High school or equivalent at minimum with commensurate experience.
