Role Summary/Purpose: The VP, Fraud/GEN AI Validation COE is responsible for performing model validation for all the fraud models, and ensure they are meeting the related MRM policies, standards, procedures as well as regulations (SR 11-7). Model Validation COE - The candidate is expected to draw experience from validation to establish a validation center of excellence and support the model governance lead to drive best practice, specifically the objectives of the COE are:
GEN AI Model Risk Management: Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive, end-to-end governance framework for Generative AI models, establishing clear standards, procedures, documentation templates, and process to effectively manage model risks such as hallucination, accuracy, and bias. This framework will enable the organization to consistently monitor and control these critical aspects throughout the model lifecycle, ensuring reliable and trustworthy AI outputs with disciplined and transparent oversight.
Quality assurance and Capacity Planning: Establish and maintain a quality assurance process to thoroughly review and assess validation practices. Proactively challenge the status quo to identify gaps or improvement opportunities in validation efforts. Provide guidance on best practices, support capacity planning, and collaborate with the Model Governance team to recommend and implement enhancements that strengthen the overall validation framework.
Strategy & Innovation: Serve as an incubation center to explore, test, and implement innovative approaches-leveraging Generative AI capabilities-to accelerate and improve the speed, efficiency, and quality of model validation processes.
Professional Practice: Support the Model Governance team to improve 1LOD model owner experience and bring value focused validation practice.
Model Validation:
Accountable for all fraud model risk management and drive the timeline and completion of the projects with minimal guidance.
Supervisory role working with junior reviewers in validation projects.
Handle escalation of issues and dispute with model owner level independently. See through the issues remediation, root cause analysis, and potential risk acceptance.
Support regulatory examinations and internal audits of the modeling process and selected models samples.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
5+ years of experience in acquisition/transaction fraud model development or model validation in financial services, with experience in CI/CD frameworks preferred.
Experience in generative AI model validation, framework development, or complex use case development.
Proven experience automating validation processes and reducing cycle times using AutoML, generative AI, and related tools, including the ability to design and build necessary supporting infrastructure
Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field; or 9+ years of equivalent experience in model development/validation within financial services, banking, or retail.
4+ years hands-on experience with data science and statistical tools such as Python, SPARK, Data Lake, AWS SageMaker, H2O, and SAS.
4+ years of machine learning experience, including handling large datasets and trend analysis.
4+ years applying US regulatory requirements for Model Risk Management.
Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Characteristics:
Strong knowledge of Model Risk Management regulatory requirements with a proven track record of compliance delivery.

Massachusetts Public Higher Education System
The Massachusetts System of Public Higher Education (“System”) enrolls approximately 260,000 students in credit-bearing programs annually. The System consists of 15 community colleges, 9 state universities, and 5 University of Massachusetts (“UMass”) campuses. The Massachusetts Board of Higher Education (“Board” or “BHE”) is the Commonwealth's higher education authority with coordinating and regulatory responsibility for all public and private higher education institutions operating in the Commonwealth that are authorized to grant degrees. The BHE is staffed by the Department of Higher Education (DHE), which is run by a Commissioner who serves as the executive and administrative head of the department. Together, the BHE and DHE are the leading voice and advocate for postsecondary education in the Commonwealth.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner for Academic Affairs and Student Success at the Department of Higher Education, the Massachusetts Inclusive Post Secondary Enrollment Initiative (MAIPSE) Director plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing MAIPSE programs and initiatives across every undergraduate public institution of higher education in Massachusetts. The Director is responsible for assisting the Deputy Commissioner with the allocation and management of all funding; facilitating student participation, program development/expansion, and services to students; strengthening partnerships and coordination of activities among key stakeholders; developing and implementing communication strategies; and evaluating and continuously improving implementation of the Massachusetts Inclusive Post Secondary Enrollment Initiative (MAIPSE). The Director works closely with department heads, stakeholders, Massachusetts adult service agencies, and community members to ensure that the agency is meeting its goals and objectives of the MAIPSE programs effectively.
The Director is involved in developing strategic plans, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the MAIPSE programs. The position is also responsible for monitoring and evaluating program outcomes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to address any challenges that may arise.
Additionally, the Director will represent the agency at meetings, conferences, and events, which include presenting and educating constituents about Massachusetts Inclusive Postsecondary Education, and serve as a liaison between our agency and external partners. Strong communication skills are necessary for this position, and the ability to build relationships will be essential in fostering collaboration and partnerships to advance MAIPSE's mission.

Since its inception in 2007, MAIPSE (formerly “MAICEI”) has served as a grant program that funds and supports high school students between the ages of 18 and 21 (i.e., up to the age of 22) with severe disabilities to concurrently participate in college-level classes, pursuant to and subject to the student's Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). In July of 2022, landmark legislation was enacted in Massachusetts related to expanding opportunities for students with severe disabilities to participate in post-secondary experiences within the public higher education system. Importantly, the 2022 legislation expanded access to post-secondary experiences to those students with severe intellectual disabilities, aged twenty-two (22) years and over, who have aged out of the K-12 sector without obtaining a sufficient competency determination under c. 69, §1D or obtaining a high school diploma. In effect, under the 2022 law, prospective students who previously fell beyond MAICEI's purview will now have opportunities to participate in courses as non-matriculating students with their nondisabled peers at all Massachusetts state universities and community colleges, while also engaging in extracurricular activities and other aspects of campus life with supports and services necessary to facilitate inclusion.
This initiative will not only benefit students with intellectual disabilities by expanding their educational opportunities, but it will also enrich the college community by fostering a more inclusive and diverse learning environment. This has allowed MAIPSE to grow and become a part of all Massachusetts public colleges and universities.
Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions
Establish and administer a comprehensive outreach, policy program development, and expansion plan in collaboration with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), school districts, the MAIPSE advisory board, Massachusetts Adult Service agencies, and public institutions of higher education to increase opportunities for students to participate in MAIPSE.
Supervise and monitor implementation of the 2022 legislation and accompanying DHE regulation 610 CMR 15.00, including but not limited to ensuring that campuses adhere to statutorily required reporting and data sharing requirements.
Create and execute policy strategies to increase the responsiveness of local and state agencies to the needs of potential as well as participating students and their families, ensuring that students can successfully participate in inclusive college-level courses, pursue employment opportunities, and transition to independent living.
Build and enact enhanced support strategies to ensure that students can successfully participate in inclusive college-level courses, pursue employment opportunities, and transition to independent living.
Administer outreach policies and statewide plans to disseminate information about the MAIPSE and grant opportunities to parents and family members, educators in school districts and public institutions of higher education, and representatives from other educational, disability, parent/family, and youth organizations.
Formulate and disseminate effective strategies related to the delivery of services to students to ensure that they will be able to meet academic, social, employment, transitional, and other goals.
Expand and administer new strategies to provide high-quality professional development and technical assistance opportunities for grant recipients and other stakeholders related to the provision of effective support strategies for students with severe disabilities, students' transition to inclusive college environments, students' pursuit of employment opportunities, and the transition to independent living.
Develop and implement enhanced strategies to sustain existing partnerships among key stakeholders and deliver high- quality services to students, including the creation of informational and guidance materials, procedures to strategically allocate and expend state funding, and the creation of opportunities to share information about effective practices and models.
Create and disseminate informational materials about the Initiative and conduct presentations to key stakeholders to increase interest in, knowledge of, and participation in the Initiative.
Establish and implement evaluation policies and strategies to assess the impact of the Initiative on multiple student outcomes, the expenditure of state funding, the provision of support services for students, and other aspects of the program, and create reports that will be submitted to the Commissioner, DHE staff, and the legislature.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

Direct lending or credit supported related experience with a focus on business relationships, excellent client relationship skills

A typical team includes direct management of 3-5 Bankers. In addition, the Market Executive partners closely with credit underwriting, treasury sales, client service, an administrative assistant, and other functional areas inside and outside of the Commercial Bank to deliver products and solutions to clients. Purpose
The US Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) will support the MD & US CISO in building robust United States technology risk (includes all non-financial risks such as Cyber Risk, Availability, Resiliency Risks and Operational Risk) related controls and processes and ensure they are maintained and adhered to in the assigned portfolio. Along with the MD & US CISO the Deputy CISO will collaboratively assess, evaluate and remediate increasingly complex technology risk, design controls and assist in their implementation in the USA, a key growth market. Acts in the line of defense as Internal Control (1B) to ensure implementation of initiatives in accordance with regulatory expectations, risk appetite, organizational risk practices and evolving business practices. What You'll Do
Champion a customer focused culture to deepen relationships with Sr. leadership, peers, and functional groups by leveraging IT and risk expertise.
Partners across senior executives US CIO, Global CISO, Risk, Operations, compliance and legal teams to deliver improved US regulatory outcomes and strategies.
Supports in the US 1st line Technology Risk, Cyber Security and Internal Controls teams.
Alongside with the MD & CISO, the Deputy CISO will collaborate with US CIO and Global CISO, in leading frequent interaction and reporting to US Federal Regulators.
Support in overseeing critical 1st Line of Defense (1B) function in highly regulated US Technology realm with ongoing guidance to support the implementation of, and compliance to, established IT Standard, Policies, Procedures, regulatory, operational risk and cyber risk requirements through active engagement, guidance and counselling.

What You'll Bring
Candidates should have a breadth of Technology and non-financial Risk management experience. 10+ years (governance, operations, audit, cyber, control functions, compliance, risk management).

Requires expert Technology risk management experience in multiple areas including but not limited to; internal controls, systems design, security, availability/stability/resiliency, disaster recovery, third party risk management, change management, release management, audit, regulatory risk, logical access, software currency. Exposure to cloud controls would be an asset.
Proven experience in risk or Cyber security leadership preferably with deep knowledge of US and GBM businesses including related systems, procedures, regulations expected.
Ability to balance contesting or conflicting goals of various departments and stakeholders which requires a mature, diplomatic approach and advanced negotiation, project management, governance and influencing skills.

Job Responsibilities

Bachelor's Degree required
