About this position We are looking for an autonomous, experienced, and highly motivated individual to join the team of professionals providing technical support in promoting the Bank's strategic environmental and social (E&S) priorities and ensuring that funded projects are socially and environmentally sustainable. The person will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the management of the Bank's Grievance Protocol, coordinating the management of grievances with the members of the Environmental and Social Solutions Division (VPS/ESG) team and other project sector teams. VPS/ESG is responsible for ensuring that the Bank's funded projects are environmentally and socially sustainable and comply with the Environmental and Social Policies Framework (ESPF) or the previous Environmental and Social Safeguard Policies, as applicable. VPS/ESG specialists provide technical inputs during due diligence in preparation and supervision. The ESPF outlines three channels for submitting grievances related to the environmental and social aspects of the Bank's funded projects: (i) a project-level grievance mechanism; (ii) the administration-level grievance mechanism (Grievance Protocol); and (iii) the Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI, for its acronym in Spanish).
