Lincoln National Corporation seeks an Automated Underwriting Program Lead in Radnor, PA to leverage business acumen and technical skills to determine new/enhanced capabilities to increase the number of cases utilizing the Automated Underwriting platform and provide savings for the department. Evolve and embrace technology transformation across the board and create the roadmap for how solutions will be architected and implemented for Automated Underwriting. Analyze data, trends to implement process improvements and work with business and IT partners to develop best solutions to meet needs/goals of Automated Underwriting System (MRAS AIS Rules Designer/Engine). Provide data analysis expertise for Lincoln's Automated Underwriting and Accelerated Underwriting process services to support New Business and Life Solutions. Act as a point of contact for escalated issues, providing prompt resolution to internal/external business partners. Maintaining a network of internal/external contacts in order to perform case research and respond. Utilize systems/tools to provide complex technical research and analysis to support business operation needs and present findings to management. Systems/Tools include, but not limited to: LifeWriter (Lincoln Underwriting Platform), ALIP (Lincoln Data Entry Platform), AIS (MRAS Underwriting User Interface and Rules Designer), Condition Statements, Postman, SOAP UI, ACORD XML, JSON, SQL Oracle Database, data driven analytics through use of Data Robots, Java, and APIs. Review code to determine IT best practices and provide suggestions to improve current practices. Analyze production/testing issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality, and risk of IT projects. Provide subject matter expertise and direction to team members and applicable internal and external stakeholders on business analysis projects and initiatives to build and enhance technological capabilities. Analyze end-to-end automated underwriting processes and make recommendation to streamline drive efficiency and reduce overall system maintenance. Direct and enhance organizational initiatives by influencing and supporting change management and departmental and enterprise-wide initiatives. Serve as a mentor to more junior team members.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems Engineering and Management, or related technical field and 5 yrs experience in business systems analysis within the insurance industry developing best solutions to meet needs/goals of Automated Underwriting System (AIS Rules Designer/Engine). Experience must include 5 years in the following:
* Reviewing and analyzing multiple complex data sources to document data elements and design out data flows to show relationships and dependencies for the automated underwriting processes.
* Developing and maintaining data models, including health models using metadata (Rx/Dx results, demographic client info) to evaluate and predict scores for the use of life insurance, to forward engineered on the Dataiku platform and stored in oracle database platform.
* Expertise reading and evaluating IF01, IF02 and ALIP XML in conjunction with SQL statements to support and advise the developers when trouble shooting defects and production issues with the automated underwriting rules engine and present findings to management.
* Technical expertise in evaluating underwriting full life insurance applications and underwriting guidelines that are needed to interpret the guidelines to build a technical solution with customers and IT that will be used for the automated underwriting rules engine.
* Experience with understanding and interrupting code base for 3rd party vendor feeds that are used in the automated underwriting rules engine (Motor Vehicle Reports from DMV, Medical Information Bureau, Pharmacy Diagnosis Checks.)
* Consulting and collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to elicit more complex business issues, determine route causes and capture business needs used to develop complex business requirements for automated underwriting responsibilities.
* Experience with strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to details while meeting tight project delivery deadlines.

How you will create an impact

We are seeking a P&C Pricing Actuary (Associate to Director-level) who is interested in making significant contributions to our efforts to transform GUARD into a top tier commercial insurer. In our agile and fast-paced environment, your work will have a direct impact on results. Responsibilities
Our internship program mimics our full-time Financial Representative career, allowing you to:
Learn how to prospect and network to build your business and client base
Develop and execute on a business strategy
Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals
Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations
Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms
Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings
Receive Risk Product State Licensing: Life, Accident, and Health
Build life skills that create future career opportunities
As a Northwestern Mutual College Financial Representative, you can expect a flexible schedule to work around your life and your classes. With the option to participate in our internship program year-round, you can continue to grow your practice and obtain support for registrations and certifications such as the Series 6 & 63 or CFP . Get inspired at local and national recognition events, earn access to leadership programs, and collaborate with experts in our business. In fact, you'll find diverse resources across our culture to ensure that you experience personal and professional growth in this program. With interest, eligible students have an opportunity to interview for a full-time Financial Representative or Advisor role upon graduation.
