Team Overview The Land and Water impact area of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy focuses on sustaining land, water and other natural resources to support human and ecosystem health. It works to integrate land and water considerations into planning and infrastructure, ensuring current and future needs are met while balancing competing demands among diverse stakeholders. By advancing policies and practices that conserve and restore biodiversity, protect watersheds, and improve soil health, the impact area promotes healthier ecosystems and more resilient communities. The Land Conservation and Restoration program of the Land and Water impact area advances land conservation and stewardship efforts to ensure the enduring provision of land and water resources upon which communities and economies depend. We strengthen land conservation practice and policy worldwide through networks, research, education, convening, tool development and partnerships. Position Overview The Policy Coordinator champions knowledge creation, management and exchange by monitoring emerging trends, resources and best practice in land conservation and stewardship around the world. You will synthesize complex issues and information into clear and relevant written work and knowledge products and effectively disseminate this information to land conservation audiences and partners globally. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in Cambridge, MA at 37.5 hours/week reporting to the Director of Conservation and Stewardship. While we anticipate this position to be based in Cambridge, MA, candidates interested in a hybrid arrangement with our Washington D.C. office will also be considered. The role requires up to 10% travel, primarily domestic travel with limited international travel. Please note: This role will require frequent meetings outside of regular business to accommodate the international focus of our work. This will mean early morning meetings and/or late evenings several times a week as needed. The team is open to a start date later than listed for the right candidate. What You'll Do Monitor trends, resources and good practice in land conservation policy and practice to update and maintain resource library. Maintain and manage the International Land Conservation Network website. Produce and distribute a bi-monthly e-newsletter, researching and writing original content and inviting and editing partner-contributed content. Conduct and aid research, writing and editing of knowledge products. Help to facilitate and maintain processes for effective knowledge creation, management, and exchange, tracking key action items for follow-up. Research and write up background information for projects or activities. Develop materials and approaches to spread research, knowledge products, and policy recommendations to wider audiences by liaising with the Institute's PCLDUX team and other creative strategies. Perform outreach to key practitioners and organizations to expand the depth, coverage and geographic diversity of knowledge and experience in knowledge products. Coordinate with external partners and networks to share knowledge products. Serve as the point person for content review, resource review and updates to website. Work closely with Land and Water impact area staff to facilitate awareness and cross-pollination in the development and dissemination of knowledge products. Assist and, where appropriate, lead in developing and writing proposals for donors and foundations and in providing reports and follow up materials as requested. Work with the Institute's communications team on communications-related activities as needed. Document and distribute minutes for regular project-related governance meetings and action knowledge-management related next steps. Support Institute-wide knowledge management activities as needed. Perform other tasks as requested. We guarantee 15-25 hours per week with an hourly pay of between $25/hr. and $45/hr., depending on the In-Home Usage Test project. No experience required. There is no payment required in order to apply or to work as an In-Home Usage Tester. You don't have to buy products or pay for shipping, everything is paid by our company. In-Home Usage Testers are considered independent contractors, we pay weekly every Wednesday by direct deposit or by cheque. We design and conduct In-Home Usage Testing (IHUT) locally and nationally to provide actual user feedback in real-time to companies and market research firms to evaluate products to ensure proper product certification and greater market access. It is important to note that during your application process, reputable market research companies will determine your demographics and consumer profile to establish what products would be suitable for you to test. Market research companies that partner with us will use questionnaires to identify and target certain types of consumers, to ensure that the right participants are engaged and to achieve the representative sample needed. Participation in these product testing and consumer panels is always free, secure and private. In-Home Usage Testing is a quick, easy and fun way to make extra cash by telling big brands what you think about their upcoming products and services in the American market.
