Kent Library's Access Services provides student, faculty, staff and community guest user services. The Library Assistant works closely with other unit staff to provide excellent user services. The assistant trains and supervises student employees. The assistant also shares responsibility for multiple unit activities such as resource sharing, reserves, managing library collections, creating statistical reports and other duties as assigned.
The Library Assistant II ensures safe and secure spaces for users, staff and library collections. The assistant is responsible for opening, staffing, and closing the building, and for user and staff safety and security during regular and extended hours. During inclement weather, this unit may be the only presence in the library, providing users physical access to library services, resources and facilities. The assistant is expected to work the following shifts during Fall and Spring semesters:
Two evenings a week, 1:30 pm - 11:00 pm (Monday-Thursday)
One afternoon/evening shift a week (2:30pm-8:00pm)
Every other weekend (Saturday 11:30am-5:00pm; Sunday 12:30pm-11:00pm)
The last two weeks of fall and spring semesters, the assistant works an adjusted schedule and closes the building, possibly as late as 2:00 am during winter intersession, summer, and holidays, the assistant maintains a 30-hour work week, daytime schedule, with some Sunday afternoon hours.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one information, collection, directional and other assistance to students, faculty, staff and community guests
Ensure the safety and security of library users, materials and spaces
Train, supervise and evaluate student employees
Process, maintain and update reserves, resource sharing and interlibrary loan materials
Create, update and maintain security of library user records
Share responsibility for collecting, collating and distributing library statistics
Assists in library collection maintenance
Shares responsibility for determining, implementing and documenting Access Services policies and procedures
Assist users and coordinate with the University's Department of Public Safety in emergency situations
Required Qualifications

The Center serves approximately 84 school districts in the southeast region. RPDC personnel provide training programs for the teachers and administrators throughout the area on a continuous basis.

* Actively support the district-wide development of effective implementation of the Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS) process to:
* Increase students' in-class time for academic instruction
* Reduce disciplinary office referrals and disciplinary incidents resulting in detention and in- and out-of-school suspensions or students
* Assist in the development of lifelong social behavior skills
* Work directly with districts/schools implementing MO SW-PBS at the building level by:
* Supporting the development of leadership and collaborative teams
* Providing on-site support to districts and schools to promote implementation fidelity
* Providing technical assistance with required and recommended evaluation tools
* Provide support in analyzing and monitoring formative and summative data to promote collective inquiry, problem solving, and goal setting

Provides administrative, technical, and research support to the Advancement department by performing a variety of duties related to database processes for both the Raiser's Edge database for data entry, reporting, mailings, research, events, gift management processes, and special projects. Graduating senior records - works with those who administer the surveys to obtain the data, then accurately records the results in the Raiser's Edge database. Event registration - oversees data entry in RE, including training users to register participants for free events, does primary entry for paid registrations, and runs related reports. Honor Roll - runs queries and reports of donors annually in order to create a properly formatted listing of donors by giving societies/levels for each fiscal year.
Provides technical and content support for all web-based giving efforts and online software.
Provides assistance as required for the overall flow of the workload of the office, which includes, typing and proofing reports, assisting departmental users with minor software issues or training, making copies as needed, providing coverage for reception desk occasionally, and generally assisting with advancement projects and programming as requested.
Provides backup support to the Gifts Records position by assisting with gift data entry and other gift-related functions at peak times and otherwise as needed.

Qualified applicants will possess a terminal degree (PhD, DMA, or equivalent in a closely related field; ABD candidates will be considered) in Music with specialization in instrumental music, bands, or closely related sub-discipline. The successful candidate will be expected to teach the equivalent of 4 courses (12 credit hours) each semester within the music curriculum as well as band-related coursework (see below for more information). Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online. All Lindenwood faculty members are expected to advise and mentor students, continue to develop their expertise through research and scholarship, and participate in faculty governance and campus life.
The Assistant Professor of Music (Director of Bands) is a full-time, 9-month faculty position that will begin August 14, 2025. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
The Lindenwood University Lion Pride Marching Band and Pep Band directly support the university's NCAA D1 athletics game-day experience (including selected football games, as well as selected men's and women's basketball games) and represent the university in the broader community through parades, exhibitions, and other performances. The Assistant Professor of Music (Director of Bands) will also conduct the University's Wind Ensemble and engage in other teaching opportunities based on area of expertise and experience. Half of this position's teaching responsibilities will be committed to band duties and recruitment, which will include course releases.

* Completes all program administrative responsibilities according to procedures

* Head Coach shall cooperate fully with the Department's Office of Compliance and consistent with Head Coach's obligation under NCAA Bylaw 10.1, provide truthful and complete information to the University and/or NCAA regarding potential violations of NCAA rules
* Immediately report to the Athletics Director and the Department's Office of Compliance Services in writing if any person or entity including without limitation representatives of the University's athletics interests, commonly known as boosters, has violated or is likely to violate any laws, NCAA, Conference or University rules

* Bachelor's degree
* Minimum of 3 years' collegiate coaching experience preferred
* NCAA Division I coaching experience preferred
