1996

By 1999, with the succes of POD, a complete line of critically accalimed amps for every application and price point, and sales doubling each year, Line 6 was the fifth largest amplifier company in the United States

2000

In 2000, Line 6 continued their expansion - and succes.

2001

2001 marked the introduction of a new generation of modeling technology with Vetta, Line 6's flagship amplifier.

2002

While bringing out new and better products for every price level in a very fast way a new direction was taken by the unveiling of the first Variax in the Autumn of 2002

In Sept 2002 Line 6 was rankend as the telfth fastest growing technology company of the Los Angeles region, in Deloitte & Touche's "2002 Los Angeles Technology Fast 50" program.

2008

In early 2008, Line 6 acquired X2 Digital Wireless, who had introduced digital wireless systems for guitar.

2010

Further developing this technology, Line 6 developed and introduced a family of digital wireless microphone systems in 2010.

2013

In December 2013, it was confirmed that Line 6 was to be bought by Yamaha Corporation, to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary with the internal management remaining the same.

2018
