Responsibilities

End of Line Associate - Standard Fiber

The End of Line Associate will be responsible for visually checking quality of material coming off the end of the fiber line.

* Weigh and package ceramic fiber blanket rolls in various packaging configurations.
* Erect cartons and properly label each.
* Employee must be able to meet established production standards and quality standards.
* Operate material handling equipment.
* Keep simple records and production sheets.
* Clean work area and perform other related tasks as assigned.
* Must be willing to be cross- trained in other positions and other cost centers within Standard Fiber.
* Must report unsafe conditions to the Line Operator, Lead Operator or Factory Focus Manager and take action to prevent accidents and injuries.

* Responsible for reporting malfunctions of equipment and deficiencies in processes and helps ensure quality and quantity standards for both internal and external customers.

* Informs Line Operator and documents any visual or quality defects that they see in the final product.

* Completes Production sheets and verifies that all labeling and packaging are correct according to the set-up sheet.

* Completes Take-5 Risk assessment and/or Pre-Flight Check lists at the beginning of each shift.

* Helps maintain good relations within the unit and comply with Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time, with appropriate breaks, on assigned shift. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds. Must be physically able to wear the personal protective equipment provided by the company, or approved equivalent (ex: must be clean-shaven to insure a good fit with a half-mask respirator). Must be able to withstand continuous or frequent exposure to heat, cold and noise.

Gilman & Co. line associate job description

Shifts:

6:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. (1st Shift) and 4:00 P.M. - 2:30 A.M. (2nd Shift)

Monday through Thursday (Fridays are scheduled based on business need. Advance notice is provided when Friday work is required.)

Pay Rate:

$16.75 per hour (1st Shift)
$18.75 per hour (2nd Shift)

$1,000 retention bonus paid after 6 months of employment

We are looking for associates to join our Packaging team! Packaging employees cut, package, label, inspect, and stack cheese during each work shift. Team members rotate every half hour in various positions working with pieces of cheese weighing between .75 ounces to 5 pounds and occasionally up to 42 pounds.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Place cut pieces of cheese into plastic totes (which can weigh approximately 30 pounds)
Inspect and In-feed cheese in the machine
Label cheese, inspect cheese packaging, and pack and tape boxes
Disassemble and clean equipment used during the day
Any other related duties assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be a team player with the ability to multi-task.
Must be able to follow instructions from the supervisor.

Education and Experience:
Prior work experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:
This position involves continuous standing and lifting of 10lbs and occasional lifting of 25lbs and carrying of objects up to 50lbs.

The Packaging team normally work four ten-hour days (Monday through Thursday), with hours depending on production needs.
