At Evergreen, we're in business to change the world. Evergreen was originally founded in 1998 to provide a sustainable, reliable supply of quality polyester resin. Each year, Evergreen recycles one billion PET bottles, keeping them out of landfills, oceans, rivers, forests, and roadways. We also produce 40 million pounds of recycled PET plastic that goes into new bottles and other products. And, we're working with communities and businesses to buy their trash so it can be recycled, too. We're now in the process of expanding our production capacity of rPET, a move that will nearly double our annual volume of food and non-food grade pellet and flake. Existing pellet lines are being upgraded to solid state processing.
Responsibilities
Sort and separate materials based on recycling guidelines
Operate forklifts
Use hand tools and shovels to process materials
Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks
Keep the worksite clean, safe, and organized
Perform general labor, including lifting and moving materials throughout the shift
Requirements
Qualifications:
1-3 years of forklift experience preferred or willing to learn.
Solid work history with consistent attendance
Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and working outdoors
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
What to Expect
This is a very physical role. You'll be moving, lifting, shoveling, and working around trash and recyclable materials. You'll be outdoors in all types of weather, but you'll be part of a team that works hard, looks out for each other, and gets the job done right.
