* Ensure that all elements of Food Safety within the plant are being met* Trained in HACCP and know what the CCPs for their given line are* Trained in GMP principles and will be responsible for maintaining that their line is in compliance with the Good Manufacturing Practices of the Company* Knowing what the shift standard is for the product that is being produced.* The line foreman must produce product in a safe manner while maintaining the quality standards set forth by the Company* Know how to properly use all pieces of equipment on their line.* This includes the mixers, baggers, scales, tapers, and all other relevant manufacturing equipment that applies to their line.* The Line Foreman will have an understanding of how the equipment works and how to do basic troubleshooting in instances where the equipment breaks down* Training the general labor workforce on their line.* Items to be trained on will include inspection criteria, cleaning practices, safety equipment operation, case fabrication and GMP policies that pertain to their line.* The Line Foreman is also required to be able to carry out all duties of the general labor workforce* Make sure that they are operating with the correct amount of people that are scheduled to that line.* It is up to the Line Foreman to identify any excess people and to have them sent to the shift coordinator for reassignment.* Whenever possible, the Line Foreman should look for ways to reduce the body count without making compromises to employee safety or finished product quality* Reporting all finished skid production to the data entry department at the end of their shift.* The overall accuracy of the production reports are the responsibility of the line foreman.* Any discrepancies must be resolved by the line foreman before they leave for the day* All production paperwork for the line must be reviewed and signed by both the Line Foreman and Quality Control* Issue and hand out reprimands to employees that fail to abide by company guidelines* With assistance from the Sanitarian, must be able to clean, inspect and know what is involved for the different levels of cleans* Work in tandem with the person in charge of the line cleanup to ensure that the line cleanup goes smoothly and that the line is put back into production as soon as reasonably possible* Share any discrepancies with the QMS to their Supervisor or Quality Manager.* These discrepancies include but are not limited to HACCP programs, Allergen Programs, Sanitation Procedures, GMP findings, Foreign Material Findings and HOLD procedures
