Purpose of the Position
Prepare, prioritize and execute recipes in accordance with established policies and procedures. This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and indirectly to others in management.
Essential Job Functions
Interact with co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner (i.e., a warm smile and sincere greeting)
Regular attendance and compliance with employee handbook and training manuals
Understand and executes highlighted production sheets in order of priority
Execute all recipes to the letter in a timely manner according to La Popular's standards
Maintain and deliver all “backups” at proper temperature to appropriate area
Operate kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Maintain clean and dry building
Maintain sanitary prep areas
Clean and organize walk-in, dry storage and freezer on a regular basis
Label, date and rotate all prepped items in accordance with La Popular's Shelf Life specifications
Maintain adequate product par levels
Organize daily deliveries in proper storage areas
Assist Dish station and Line functions, when needed
