Consult EOL test engineers and Systems engineers as needed to identify rework procedures as needed.
Coordinate with Quality and Production for disposition of known non-conforming product.

Position Qualifications
Associate degree in technical field (Automation, Engineering, or similar) or equivalent experience.

Education and Experience Required:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Experienced Journeyman Line Technician or willing to complete Line Technician training courses as required through COLT.
Must have a good working knowledge of various circuit connections, voltage of lines, phasing and transformer connections, switching devices, ability to interpret field prints and switching diagrams, and know the fundamentals of electricity.
Must have or be able to develop a good working knowledge of the Cooperative's transmission and distribution standards.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Medical Examiner's Certificate required or ability to obtain.
Must be willing to abide by safety manual and outlined requirements.
Must have ability to work aloft on poles, towers, and structures while climbing or working from bucket truck.
Capable of making full use of available tools, equipment, and technologies.

Job Description
Line Mechanic C-A:
What You'll Do:
Assemble, install, maintain, remove and competently inspect overhead, and underground facilities including conductors, cables, transformers, fixtures, structures and other associated equipment under immediate or general supervision as skill level dictates.
After completion of C-100, or equivalent experience, shall be competent to perform work on conductors and equipment energized up to 260 volts under general supervision. Assist with work on conductors and equipment energized at secondary voltages to 600 volts under immediate supervision of higher classification.
After completion of C100, or equivalent experience, test, de-energize and ground URD cable, Splice and terminate URD cable, and troubleshoot, repair and energize URD cable and equipment under immediate or general supervision as skill level dictates.
After completion of C-200, or equivalent experience, shall be capable of working on conductors and equipment energized up to 600 volts under general supervision. Use volt meters, amp meters, ground meggers, continuity testers and other electrical test equipment associated with line work on voltages up to 600 volts.
After completion of C-200, or equivalent experience, may cover up stationary tied in (cannot transfer) primary conductors and equipment under direct supervision as skill level dictates.
After completion of C-300, or equivalent experience, may cover up, transfer or move primary conductors and equipment under direct supervision as skill level dictates.
After completion of C-400, or equivalent experience, perform the same duties as outlined in the B classification during the first TWELVE MONTHS. (Wording from LMB description - During the first twelve months in this classification (LMB) assist with work on energized lines, cables and equipment.
During this time frame, the employee should progress from direct supervision to immediate supervision as skill level dictates.
Also, shall be capable of replacing fuses and operate switching and sectionalizing devices energized at any voltage when working under general supervision.).
Build and erect equipment mountings (such as regulator and transformer platforms) and build overhead transformer installations.
Conduct proper tagging procedures while performing switching of energized circuits
Perform inspection and trouble-shooting of lines.
Perform similar or less skilled work as assigned.
Direct the work of employees assigned to assist.
Complete Monthly Apprentice Cards and submit to local supervision for review. The following reference is provided as a guideline for persons responsible for directing the duties and responsibilities of assigned personnel, to assist in the safety and development of employees, and is not intended to limit assignment of work or the degree of supervision under all operating conditions:
DIRECT SUPERVISION - When a qualified person is working with/hands-on with the person performing the designated task.

GENERAL SUPERVISION - An employee of higher classification, knowledgeable of the task at hand and not necessarily at the job site.

Position Summary:
It is the duty and responsibility of the Line Tech to ensure proper operation of the equipment on his/her lines and the department as directed by their supervisor.
Responsibilities:
· Respond quickly and efficiently to break downs situations to get the line back into operation with minimal downtime and increase efficiency
· Be in your work area at all times unless break/lunch or approved by your supervisor. If you need to work through your breaks/lunch, you will be reciprocated upon repairs and the line up and running.
· Ensure department pre-ops are completed timely to ensure on-time start up.
· The Line Technician will assist the Supervisor in starting the lines up on time.
· Ensuring machines are properly shut down and any scheduled preventative maintenance completed.
· When applicable, follow up break down repairs with an operations test to ensure the machine is running as it should.
· Follows up on temporary “fixes” to ensure a permanent repair is made in a timely manner.
· Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding spare parts inventory to ensure critical spare parts are ordered and available at all times.
· Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor to any changes made to machines including digital settings and mechanical settings.
· Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Production Supervisor any machine downtime greater than 15 minutes.
· Follow preventative maintenance (PM) schedules that are set up and approved by the Plant Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
· Train machine operators on key concepts and basic operation, film changes, and safety measures on machines as needed by the Production Supervisor.
· Work with contractors brought in for training or repairs to ensure they are knowledgeable on the machines within the department.
· Other directions/tasks/assignments as needed by Upper Management
· Ensure all company food safety rules are followed including GMP'S
· Ensure all company safety rules are followed and adhered to, including LOTO.
