PILOT INCENTIVES
Depending on current specific base needs, new hire line pilots could be eligible to receive:
- Starting base salary $82,000 to $90,200, depending on experience
- 2% to 30% geographic modifier for assigned base, depending on location
- $15,000 sign-on bonus and $40,000 retention bonus, all locations
- 7/7 or 14/14 schedule, depending on location
- 24-hour base housing, provided at all locations
JOB SUMMARY
Ensures all operations involving Company aircraft are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations.
- Operates the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
- Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations
- Conducts preflight of the aircraft prior to starting shift and/or accepting transports or flights. Preflight will be conducted utilizing the appropriate rotorcraft flight manual. Discrepancies noted during the pre-flight will be noted in the engineering log with a notification to maintenance of the discrepancy and what corrective action is being taken
- Reports to his/her shift rested and prepared for duty and stays current of weather and forecast changes
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
2000 hours total flight time
1500 hours helicopter time
1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
500 hours turbine
100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
Previous HAA experience or equivalent - preferred
Education and Credentials:
Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
High school diploma or equivalent
Other:

Line Pilots have full control and responsibility for the overall safety, efficiency and smooth operation of the flights they carry out. Each flight must have a minimum of two pilots, with the senior most pilot serving as captain. Line Pilots may serve as Captain for King Air and Baron aircrafts, and may serve as First Officer for CJ4 aircraft (proper licenses and certification apply).
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely pilot BE200 and BE58G as captain in compliance with all 14CFAR part 91 regulations, insurance requirements and manufacturer’s publications.
- Ensure that all the engines, systems and on-board safety and navigation equipment are in working order and have been checked over by competent technicians. Before you get airborne, you will complete pre-flight checks and brief the cabin crew.
- Control the aircraft throughout the flight and liaise with air traffic controllers to plot the plane’s trajectory.
- Throughout the journey, communicate with crew and passengers at periodic intervals during the flight, check that the appropriate instrumentation and navigation systems are working at full capacity and make changes in speed and altitude as necessary to ensure a smooth flight.
- Create and maintain flight plans, and passenger manifests, and submit to Chief pilot as required.
- Maintain aircraft cleanliness, beverages, and snacks.
- Ensure aircraft is properly mechanically maintained.
- Perform weekly housekeeping as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
- Attend to passenger needs and arrangements, and properly load and unload cargo and passenger luggage.
- Evaluate fuel load required based on the total weight of the aircraft (including passengers and/or cargo), the distance to be covered and the altitude at which you will be flying.
- Upon reaching destination, prepare a detailed log pertaining to technical issues and complete the standard flight documentation as required.

Report all maintenance discrepancies to the Senior Pilot and the Director of Operations.
