ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Working under the direction of a group leader. Responsible for continually maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Following written and verbal instructions. Preparing and positioning parts for assembly, ensuring each component is fastened together correctly, and checking connections logging any discrepancies. Assembling material components using both hand tools and power tools. Performing required manufacturing processes while meeting all quality and production standards. Moving and positioning equipment weighing up to 100 pounds on a frequent basis to complete assembly work. Performing other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES High School diploma/GED required. Minimum of 2 years' experience utilizing tools to assemble parts and components to create final product. Ability to read and interpret small print on gauges, blueprints, or product labels. Demonstrated dependable performance with consistent schedule adherence. Demonstrated willingness to learn additional processes and procedures while executing more complex tasks with precision. Ability to learn all positions within each assembly line and willingness to assist in all areas to ensure production targets are met. Ability to accurately read and utilize tape measures, fabrication blueprints, and assembly documentation. Prior experience working in industrial manufacturing is preferred. Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Ability to work up to 6 days/week with Saturdays being on an as-needed basis. The Electronic Assembly Technician performs a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies and subassemblies. This role involves the use of computers, hand tools, torque drivers, and related equipment while following established work instructions, safety standards, and quality requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies and subassemblies in accordance with work instructions and production schedules. Follow defined methods and sequences of operation, including wiring, component installation, board installation, and cable harnessing. Utilize the HSL ERP system (CORE) to complete daily production activities, including documentation and tracking. Inspect work at each stage of the assembly process to ensure quality standards are met. Complete assigned tasks within established takt time to support efficient product flow. Use provided materials, tools, and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Comply with all HSL policies and procedures, as well as OSHA and other applicable safety regulations. Required Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in electronic assembly within a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and understand work instructions, technical documentation, and ERP systems. Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to maintain regular attendance. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time during the workday. Manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate hand tools and small components. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally. Visual acuity sufficient to perform detailed assembly work.
