Production Worker Shift: 2nd- 3:30pm - 12:00am Monday-Friday *overtime and Saturdays may be required. Training will be on 1st shift for approximately 1 month until moving to 2nd shift. This position is responsible for loading and unloading products in and out of automated glass handling equipment by way of hand, forklift, and/or platform lift in a 24/7 operation. Rotating 12 Hour Shifts (2/2/3 Schedule) Dayshift 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM ($20 - $22/hr. D.O.E., plus overtime) Graveyard 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM ($22 - $24/hr. D.O.E., plus overtime) Earn up to $75,000 (D.O.E.) in the first year with monthly profit sharing potential and the opportunity for company contributions to 401K, while only working 15 - 16 days a month on average. Job Functions Operate a forklift and platform lift to move glass around the warehouse, and in and out of glass handling equipment. Setup glass handling equipment via computer screen to match the glass size being loaded/unloaded. Physically hand unload custom sizes off the end of the production line. Perform quality checks of finished goods. Close finished goods and relocate them into warehouse via forklift/platform lift. Follow and execute a product run list. Communicate with teammates via UHF radio. Requirements Production and Forklift experience, although not required, is a plus. Ability to effectively communicate and work as part of a productive team. Flexible and able to rotate into different areas, team player. Apply critical and logical thinking to troubleshoot glass handling equipment. Ability to plan three steps ahead and be prepared for what's next. Wear and maintain all the required personal protective equipment (PPE). Lift 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, twist, stretching, pulling, pushing, and standing for long periods of time. Disassembles window and door units in preparation for production Must be able to lift and stage multiple units on production carts. Labels each piece of unit with specific ID numbers and colors. Pushes each cart to next production cell. Cleaning and masking window and door frames and other parts in preparation for painting. Checks the surface of the unit and determines if silicone is present. Removes silicone using a razor blade, sanding pad, or other tools. Uses air hose to blow off particles Reports defects to floor lead. Removes masking paper and tape from painted window and door after quality approved. Cleans paint and glue from glass and inserts bulb seal if present. Inserts screen into frame if present and inserts weep hole covers if required. Assembles window and door with all parts removed during disassemble. Packages units based on customer requirements. Scans and adheres label on window if required. Stages on carts for shipping per customer Applies Banding/strapping as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Follow all safety guidelines and maintains clean workspace. Maintains productive pace set by Floor Lead and/or Manager and follows managers' direction.
