Qualities to have for this position:
This is an entry-level position where the employee performs physical tasks to facilitate storage and shipment of resin cartridges for use with roof support system products for the mining and tunneling, industries. The employee may also perform other training-level tasks under the direction of a mentor employee or supervisor that may include operator and/or maintenance technician actions to facilitate the production of resin cartridges. The employee may perform general work space cleaning as required by supervisory/plant management personnel to maintain safe and efficient operation of plant.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Packages specific number of parts on skids, in bags, boxes, etc., labels them, stacks bags of parts on racks, or in appropriate packaging and moves totes/skids of parts to a storage area or to the next operation
* Ensures that safety devices are in place and reports any unsafe behavior or situation
* Is aware of activities in working surroundings and is responsible for keeping the area clean, tidy, and safe
* Other tasks as assigned by Leader
JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
* Must be at least 18 years old
* 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Good mechanical aptitude
* Ability to do basic mathematical calculations.
* Must have ability to read/write and interpret documents (safety rules, operating/procedure instructions, blueprints, etc..)
* Must have ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervision and management
* Must be able to read a scale and tape measure.
* Ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision.
