PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Press switches and turn knobs to start machines to package products. Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions, such as leaks or plugging, and report malfunctions or undesirable tastes to supervisors. Clean materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools. Transport products and ingredients to production and material handling areas. Collect and examine product samples during production to test them for quality, color, content, texture and consistency.
