Key Responsibilities
* Performs general non-maintenance and repair work; may perform repairs independently.
* Performs all functions involved in the repair and/or replacement of freestanding furniture, all stand-alone lamps, appliances, and vacuum cleaners and other misc. equipment.
* Responds to daily service calls as assigned by Associate Director for Facilities Operations.
* Provides moving of residential furniture for custodial staff during summer turnover cleaning periods.
* Maintains all tools and working materials in a safe condition and in proper working order.
* Performs yearly preventive maintenance on all residential appliances as needed.
* Removes recycling from common areas as needed.
* Maintains recycling reports. Retrieves data and prepares reports as requested and required using manual and/or computerized recording systems.
* Completes material handling delivery with powered and non-powered equipment on a regular basis.
* Utilizes wet vacuum to clean-flooded areas of assigned work area, pressure-washing equipment, walk behind scrubber, and riding scrubber as needed.
* Ensures daily cleanliness and appearance of assigned work area, which may include shop area, residence hall, suites, apartment complex, and/or administrative areas.
* Reports all damages encountered while maintaining assigned work area.
* Submits maintenance requests for any needed repairs to equipment, fixtures, infrastructure, etc.

License

Once hired the employee must successfully complete the Defensive Driver Training Program provided by the State of California for California State University campuses.

Manage all installation activities in Adomi projects - from design phase with the architects, to breathing BOMs, purchasing, and the actual installation on site
Manage a team of low voltage installers and customer support personnel
Coordinate internal resources and external partners
Work closely with the R&D and provide feedbacks and requested functionality
Troubleshoot issues that customers report and resolve
Monitor the system health and the customers' connectivity
Proactively make sure the production environments is always up and running, with the assistance of alerts from automated systems
Work closely with the PMO to plan the work for the next projects
Train required personnel to build a team
Qualifications
Academic degree(s) electricity, computer science, electronics, or equivalent preferred
At least 3 years of experience in installing low voltage based systems.
Hands on expertise for installation and troubleshooting of low voltage systems
Technical “hands on” approach to both computational systems and electronics.
Can-do attitude, self-motivated, proactive with demonstrated strong sense of ownership and delivery
Detailed, mission oriented, yet see the big picture of the project and take decisions accordingly
Strong collaboration skills and ability to interface and collaborate with multiple teams, from different backgrounds and functions.
Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and experience with installing and configuring Linux OS based solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties
Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass and lead, and nonmetals, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
Read and interpret blueprints, instructions, and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems.
Locates and marks pipe and connection position and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors.
Use hand and power tools to cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings; Uses a pipe cutter and pipe-threading machine to cut and thread pipes
Joins pipe by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and calk joints.
Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine if there is a leak.
Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
Install waste disposal and sanitary systems.
Qualifications
3+ years of disposal and sanitary systems
Valid California Driver's license
Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
Strong communication and organization skills
