Pre-weigh services are utilized by large manufacturing companies requiring precisely weighed chemicals for use in rubber mixing. We provide both product reliability and economic value to a critical component of rubber mixing that makes your process more efficient.
Pay Range: $18.50/hr + $1.25 shift premium on night shifts
Hours are 8pm to 8am or 8am-8pm (12-hour shifts)
Rotating Shifts - will work every other weekend
Mon-Tues, Fri- Sat
Sun, Wed-Thur.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Set up bins for shipping (make sure bins are clear of debris, move on & offline)
Check the first bag of every run and document the weight
Verify every bin has the correct code name
Inspect bag for foreign material
Isolate any unused hopper by bagging the outlet chute
Print Chemical Setup Sheet at the start of each production run
Remove air from bags and seal using a heat sealer
Make sure bags are sealed completely and placed in correct bin
Assist Lead Operator I as needed during setup of each production run
Correct problems on the line caused by chemical over/under weight requirements
Notify Lead Operator I or Supervisor/Scheduler when errors on production line happen immediately
Complies with company policies
Analyze and resolve work problems and assist in solving work problems using risk management
Make sure work area stays clean
Assist where needed

Machine Operator: The Machine Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of machinery and equipment used in the production or manufacturing process. This role involves setting up machines, monitoring operations, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring that products meet quality standards. The Machine Operator follows standard operating procedures and adheres to safety guidelines to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are essential for success in this position.
Hang/Hook: The Hanger is responsible for hanging parts from pallets onto the paint line by grasping parts with one or two hands and hanging onto hooks. The Hook Setter will place hooks on the line, the weight of the hooks is nominal. The Hook Setter and the Hanger roles rotate every hour. Lifting and setting pallets (4x2 and 2x2) will vary and is up to the discretion of the individual.
Paintline Attendant: The Take Off is responsible for tending the paint-line where products advance down a motorized hanging conveyor system. This role may rotate into any of the following positions (workers rotate every 60 minutes):
Box Thrower: The Box Thrower is responsible for taking cardboard boxes from a pallet and placing them onto the conveyor line. The products are then placed into the boxes by the "Take Off" role.
Take Off: The Take Off is responsible for taking parts off of the paint line (hooks) to pack them into boxes or pallets that are to be shipped. The loaded boxes are taped and placed onto pallets. Some products are bulk packed onto pallets and may be wrapped.
Taper: The Taper is responsible for operating the tape machine. This role will grasp the tape from a taper machine and place it on the boxes as they move down into the conveyor.
Bander: The Bander is responsible for grasp the boxed and taped product as they move down the conveyor. This role will handle and stack the products onto a pallet.
Box Puller: The Box Puller is responsible to research, calculate and pull from the inventory all boxes, packaging materials and pallets (4x2 and 7ft) needed to ship products. This role uses work orders to assist in determining type and quantity of boxes needed on various lines. The Box Puller will then manually handle and transport by cart or by hand to respective area. This role is required to review and replenish boxes as needed, may assist receiving department, may drive the forklift as needed to place product in the paint department. The box puller may also perform the "Take Off" job function.
Sign Off: The Sign Off ensures accurate labeling and staging of palletized products. This role is responsible for labeling and placing barcodes on boxes of palletized product as they come from the “Take Off” area. Boxes come off a roller conveyor system from the take-off area onto a pallet (4x4 Green Stripe) in the sign-off area. The Sign Off is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the orders. This role is required to push/pull the palletized orders into the automated plastic wrap area, use a computer and printer to make labels that are placed on the respective loads of products. This role may also perform the "Take Off" job.

If certified, operate a forklift safely, making sure all mobile equipment logs are filled out daily for each piece of machinery.
Complete quality testing as required.
Log all analysis properly on the respective pick slips.
Notify the plant operator when the proper materials for bagging production are needed.
If blends are performed, make sure the blend is logged for the duration of the blend and proper QC standards are followed.
Notify management and office administrators if any of the following occur:
Material shortages for daily shipments
Gradation problems or loading time changes
Unusual noises or potential mechanical problems
Assist maintenance in repairing any mechanical equipment, when necessary
Complete and maintain all related paperwork as directed by management daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.

What You Can Expect Working in the Shop Technician I Position
The Shop Tech I works under the direction of the Production Supervisor and is responsible for the interior build-out of the construction of storm shelters and other industrial buildings. As a Shop Tech I, you will be responsible for reading a tape measure, running a hand sander, a scraper, and inspecting your work to make sure the metal has been deburred correctly. You will also be responsible for pressure washing and or sand blasting units. Our team of plant employees ensures that safety and quality are top of mind in the production of our products. As a Shop Tech I, you are integral in supporting RedGuard Diversified Structure's goal of delivering customers a quality product on time.
Responsibilities
Reads a tape measure, runs a hand sander, uses a scraper, and inspects work to make sure the metal has been deburred correctly.
Produces work in accordance with industry standards.
Cross-trains in various construction skill sets and uses skills in multiple stages of the manufacturing process.
Examines products or work to verify conformance to specifications and ensures the quality of products or work.
Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
Operates a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials, parts, and equipment within the shop or warehouse.

Minimum Qualifications

Production Workers must perform all duties in compliance with Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI), USDA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), SSOP and safety regulations).
Monday through Friday, some weekends may be required:
2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm/EOS)

Some of the Duties include:
Prep trim/slice raw meat (occasional deboning)
Lay meat onto trays or hang on racks
Operate equipment to slice, marinate, cook and pack product
Load/unload equipment or operate smokehouse
Scrape trays
Scale and pack finished products
Wash and sanitize equipment, work area, and common areas
Other duties as assigned
A qualified candidate must:
Pass drug test
Pass E-verify (I9)
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Prior experience in food environment a plus
