Job Description
Position Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds. The incumbent will possess a basic knowledge of electrical and all hazards.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
* Assist the skilled trade's employees in performing operations and maintenance on plant equipment and buildings. Perform preventive maintenance functions, including, but not limited to lubrication of equipment. Disassemble and repack pumps.
* Perform custodial and clean-up work on plant grounds including cutting grass, snow removal and trash pick-up. Perform custodial work in buildings including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, washing windows scrubbing walls and vacuuming.
* Perform manual labor functions as assigned.
* Perform minor maintenance services on vehicles and equipment including, but not limited to, washing, tightening chains, replacing cables and bolts, checking tire inflation and performing lubrication according to the manufacturers' recommended schedules.
* Perform regular checks of equipment condition, noting deficiencies and following maintenance scheduling procedures, schedule the necessary maintenance or replacement.
* Clean and prepare surfaces to be painted. Apply paint and varnish to buildings and equipment. Perform sign lettering skills as assigned.
* Recommend materials and supplies needed both to advise management on specific applications and to maintain inventory.
* Provide coverage for Bio-Solids Loader in the event of Staffing issues,
* Observe all on-the-job safety regulations.

* Work is performed both inside and outside with exposure to all kinds of weather conditions.
