Essential
Sets-up work area by retrieving production components (i.e., bottles, caps, pallets, products, rags, totes, etc.) and by sterilizing the tables and equipment, code dating individual bottles, etc.
Uses personnel protective equipment where required.
Fills bottles by operating filling machinery, or using manual process.
Works at assigned Filling machine to produce finished product.
Caps bottles by manually applying caps, operating a crimper, operating an air press machine, etc.
Labels specified products by applying the label in appropriate location.
Prepares pallets by filling totes, labeling totes with required information, loading pallets, moving pallets with pallet jacks to the correct area, etc.
Lifts finished product in totes onto pallets, onto a table or onto a shelf.
Performs clean-up duties by washing equipment, sweeping & mopping the floors, emptying the garbage, wiping down workstations with IPA and buckets, etc.
Sets-up and operates the sealer by plugging in machinery, monitoring temperature to prevent explosions, capping bottles, washing bottles, boxing products, labeling boxes, etc.
Inspects quality of own work for cleanliness, label placement, lids tight, correct batch numbers, etc.
Assists in training other associates as needed by demonstrating tasks, answering questions, etc.
Monitors quality by wiping excess product from containers, checking silk-screened labels, count on boxes, stacking of pallets, and by verifying that labels are correctly placed.

Identify and remove defective products or materials.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:
Work in outdoor weather conditions.
Possibility of experiencing confined spaces.

Agglomerate Line Operator

The Agglomerate Line Operator's main focus is to ensure the product(s) being produced are within company and customer specifications by operating equipment on the product line. Will work closely with Quality Assurance and Packaging Agglomerate Lead with the goal of producing high-quality, cost-effective products. The Agglomerate Line Operator will be responsible for meeting all quality specifications on all finished goods - this includes, but is not limited to verifying all code dates and proper weights for each tote. The Agglomerate Line Operator must be knowledgeable in the activities of the personnel working on the line as he or she will assist in overseeing and training personnel. Troubleshooting and mechanical skills are a plus.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities for each position and equipment function on the agglomerate line.
Check scales and tote weights at the beginning and during each shift; every two hours check the tote per pallet and record in appropriate location.
Identify and remove defective products or materials.
Communicate with other shifts and/or departments regarding potential problems, product needing blended, line changes, etc.
Record all packaging information on packaging reports, and all changes or problems in the Shift Paperwork. Records must be legible, accurate, and complete, in English.
Responsible for housekeeping and general appearance of Agglomerate and Packaging areas.
Check at the start of each shift and during product changes that totes, date code stickers, etc. are correct for the product being packaged.
Work cautiously around moving parts and equipment, adhere to LOTO safety, confined space policies and use good safety practices at all times.
Timely completion of the check-out list and reports.
Good knowledge of date codes, and appropriate locations for Pallet tickets
Knowledge of product grade limits, and steps taken to correct out of spec product
Familiarity with chemicals used in the cleaning and sanitizing process.
Accurately mix ingredients and record ingredient usage.
Knowledge of emergency procedures, including machine shut-down, employee evacuation procedures, and contacts for crisis or medical / first aide.
Keep Agglomerate lead and Packaging Manager informed of progress and/or problems.
Completes other duties as necessary.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of production and packaging equipment, policies and procedures to ensure the safety of product and personnel.
Ability to give instruction and teach others regarding packaging and equipment operation.
Ability to complete paperwork and reports; basic math skills needed.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Good communication skills, both written and oral. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words.
Good time management skills.
Ability to monitor self and others to make improvements or take corrective action.
Ability to delegate; must work well will all levels of staff.
Supervisory experience or background preferred.
Safety and Quality conscious.
Education:
Education must be of such level as to allow for the accurate reading, writing, calculation and communication of the required materials and instructions to complete the job responsibilities. High school diploma/equivalent or higher education preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, bend, sit or move repetitively for up to 12 hours.
Must be able to lift on a regular basis up to 50 lbs without assistance and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Ability to tolerate dust and chemicals.
Ability to work safely around moving parts and equipment.
Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, climbing, crawling and fingering required. Must be able to see and hear sufficiently to operate equipment safely in an environment with high levels of noise and low-lit areas.

Supervisor Duties:
The Agglomerate Line Operator will supervise people in their area of responsibility. May be cross-trained on other lines or for additional responsibilities as well. Supervisors must maintain professionalism toward all levels of staff at all times.
Working Conditions:
Normal plant / manufacturing / warehouse environment. Hours of operation are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Must be available for all days and all hours. Position is very physical / hands on. Will be exposed to high levels of noise, heat, cold, dust, and wet and humid conditions, and all other environmental factors normally attributed to a packaging or warehouse environment.
