The role also requires the ability to climb short ladders or steps to access equipment, use hands to feed sheets, adjust machine settings, and operate small tools, as well as maintain good hand-eye coordination for quality checks, trimming, stitching, binding, and handling small components on binding and finishing machines. Workers must have adequate vision to safely monitor moving mechanical equipment and be able to tolerate high noise levels from presses and bindery machinery, exposure to paper dust and ink or chemical odors, and temperature variations ranging from warm areas near presses to cooler warehouse environments.
