Minnkota Power Cooperative Journeyman/Apprentice Line Worker Minnkota Power is seeking qualified applicants for a Journeyman/Apprentice Line Worker opening at our Grand Forks, ND headquarters. The pay rate for this position begins at $35.81 per hour. Appropriate compensation will be determined based on a candidate's skills, education, and any previous relevant experience. Job responsibilities include: * Maintains and repairs high voltage electric transmission lines of 41.6KVAC to 345 KVAC and 500 KVDC. * Climbs poles to repair conductors and replace cross arms, insulators, poles or auxiliary equipment. * Will erect transmission lines. * Utilizes precautionary work methods and safety equipment when working on or near energized or de-energized conductors. * Operates aerial equipment/devices to accomplish these tasks. * Operates mobile equipment and trucks as required. * Complies with all applicable safe work practices and rules set forth by company, state and federal regulatory agencies. Employees in this role may work nights and weekends as necessary and some overnight travel from home base is required. As a part of the Production Team, the Production Worker is responsible for operating various pieces of equipment in order to produce Coca-Cola products. Your role will involve reading blueprints and maintaining workflow throughout the week. **Responsibilities** + Efficiently and accurately assemble metal components/parts with correct fit and fastening according to job specifications defined in blueprint drawings. + Use appropriate tools to assemble and fasten all parts per engineering and quality standards. + Assist with material setup and parts coordination. + Assist with the assembly of hardware kit boxes. + Operate the roll former machine and collect metal products at the end of the line. + Inspect the quality of assembled components/parts before passing them to QC for final inspection. + Assist other assembly stations and transfer to other departments as needed. + Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a neat and orderly fashion. + Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues. + Operate hand and power tools, and other equipment as required to complete projects. + Perform assigned tasks to time standards and quality expectations. + Maintain professional, respectful relationships with internal and external customers. + Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations. + Assist other team members to complete tasks and perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Experience using hand or power tools in manufacturing, construction, or a production facility. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Strong mechanical assembly skills. + Proficiency in using power and hand tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in small parts assembly, production, parts inspection, and installation. + Familiarity with farming or roofing is a plus. + Capability to lift at least 75 pounds. + Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a small family feel with opportunities for growth into leadership roles. The schedule is Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m. to noon, with the possibility of a full day off, depending on workload. Occasionally, work may be required on Saturdays during busy summer months.
