The Production Assembler is responsible for the assembly and manufacturing of various types of cables used in electrical and electronic systems. The Production Assembler is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of the cables produced are up to standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Cable Assembly: Perform the assembly of cables according to specific work instructions, engineering drawings, or diagrams. This includes cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering wires and connectors, as well as routing cables and securing them with appropriate fasteners. • Quality: Ensure cables meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and rectify any defects or issues, such as loose connections, improper soldering, or damaged insulation, to maintain the integrity of the final product. • Equipment Operation: Operate various tools and equipment required for cable assemblies, such as wire strippers, crimping machines, soldering irons, heat guns, and testing devices. Ensure proper handling and maintenance of equipment to maximize productivity and safety. • Documentation / Labor Clocking in: Adhere to documentation procedures and scan jobs accurately in the ERP system. • Safety: Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Comply with company policies and quality management systems. • Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any production-related challenges.
