Job Summary:
Assemble opto-mechanical systems in accordance to manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, process documents, etc.) using a variety of hand tools, measuring devices and test equipment.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Build opto-mechanical assemblies by using assembly drawings and assembly procedures
Work with assembly and inspection tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, height gages, and dial indicators
Support of optical alignment and testing of optical systems
Document actions by completing checklists
Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Generate work order material kits using printed bills of material (BOM)
General lab maintenance as necessary
Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of assembly experience required
Ability to read complex assembly drawings and process instructions
Independent worker, requiring little to no supervision
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
Experience using standard hand tools - allen wrenches, screw drivers, torque wrenches, etc.
Familiarity with computers as applicable to manufacturing
Possess a solid, quality minded work ethic and strong attention to detail
Interface in a collaborative manner to foster effective and inspiring group dynamics
Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, often for most of the workday

A Production Worker S3 (Production Specialist) in our Diamond Point Turning (DPT) area operates machines to make precision cuts and measurements on production hardware. The operator follows all safety protocols for safe operation of cutting tools and executes tasks to ensure that equipment and processes being used are in control. They utilize their advanced processing experience to trouble shoot and resolve issues with production support teams. Rigorous documentation of processes performed in our electronic tracking system and follow written procedures is required. May assist in outlining tasks and checking other's work for correctness. **2nd Shift: 2PM - 10:30PM and negotiable in Goleta, California. This is an onsite position.
What You Will Do:
Active participation in a Safety-First work environment.
The ability to adhere to all sub lab gowning and environmental protocols.
Process Focal Plane Arrays (Fixturing, Diamond Point Turning, hotplate, metrology, inspection etc) to build hardware.
Handle fragile hardware and manually manipulate small parts during processing.
Rigorously follow written procedures and work instructions
Document data on travelers and in the electronic database
Utilize strong interpersonal communication skills with peers, leads, support teams and management.
Cross train as necessary to improve area efficiency
Execute specialized communications (pass downs) if operating during 2nd or 3rd shift hours.

What You Will Do
Must be able to work extended periods of time in an environmentally controlled area (cleanroom).

The ability to use a computer to access work instructions, perform data entry, and complete on-line training is required.
You must wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly follow all safety-related processes, procedures, and protocols.

Monday - Thursday: 3:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (eight-hour shift every other Friday)
General Summary:
This position will report to the Shop Floor Supervisor and will be responsible for various work assignments throughout the production area.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs manual/mechanized assembly operations.
Responsible for adhering to all safety and quality requirements.
Process specifications using hand tools, machinery, air presses, jigs and other equipment and tooling.
Must be able to follow work instructions.
Performs other operations such as loading and unloading components into tooling and powders into cups to press.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job Specifications:

Position Summary
Interprets assembly blueprints, drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications to build, calibrate and test electromechanical switches. Meticulous work ethic is a must as the product portfolio consists of mostly critical components requiring 100% reliability.

Adjusts disc springs (conical washers) to required settings using arbor press and other tooling fixtures.
Functionally cycles switches to stabilize components making necessary set ups with a minimum of technical assistance.
Checks, synchronizes, and tests products using a variety of hand tools (i.e. screwdrivers, sockets, pliers, etc.), tooling fixtures, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gages, and dial indicators to ensure conformance to specifications.

Troubleshoot and repair units needing rework.
