Qualifications:
· Must have a valid driver's license. A Class B Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake Restriction Removed will be required.
· Must be available for overtime, as well as work after scheduled hours, holidays and weekends.
· Be physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.
· Be capable of controlled operation of pneumatic tools such as clay spade, a rock drill, a rammer, a jackhammer, and assorted hand tools such as a pick, shovel, digging bar (spade bar), sod tamper or other pertinent hand tools (hammer, chisel, wrench, etc.).
· Have the capability to follow written instructions and be able to read maps and plans.
· Be able to operate a dump truck and a compressor truck.
· Be capable of increasing skills with experience and proper instruction. Be capable of operating the tools relative to the department.
· Capable of using a computer, tablet or other electronic devices to review plates, plans, tap cap cards, Aqua GIS, and work orders from Company's asset management system (i.e. currently Maintenance Connection), and basic computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
The starting rate of pay is ##$37.78 per hour.
All employees hired or entering the bargaining unit on or after December 15, 2022, will receive four dollars ($4.00) per hour less than the classification wage rate. The wage reduction will be returned in one dollar ($1.00) increases once a year over a four (4) year period. Employee will receive annual contract increases.
Employees must be employed more than twelve (12) months in a Department to be eligible to apply for a job outside of the Department. However, employees with twelve (12 months) or more in the union but with less than twelve (12) months in a Department may apply for a job classification that pays a higher hourly rate than the classification the employee currently holds.
An employee will be limited to two (2) higher wage classification advancements in a twelve (12) month period. If there are no applicants with more than the required twelve (12) months in the department, then employees with at least 12 months in the bargaining unit may apply for the position even if it is not for a position with a higher wage classification.
A written examination may be given along with a field test.

As we get into the fall and leading up to the holidays, we get busier and demand for our desserts and savory items will increase.
Thanksgiving is an especially busy time for us, in addition to producing our sweet and savory products we will be building inventory to meet the increased demands for our CheeseCake and savory meals.
We also prepare a complete take home Thanksgiving dinner which includes a hot turkey. We do work on Thanksgiving Day until 2 PM. Each employee gets one of these dinners to take home and share with their family.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under limited supervision, the Extruder Packer will be expected to tend to and operate extrusion machines in a work cell to produce required parts as determined by customer requirements and the production schedule. Clearly understands and has demonstrated strong capability with set-ups, start-ups, running and tearing down any profile tooling in a safe and productive manner. Troubleshoot extrusion issues within a work cell.

Evaluate part conformance against documented product requirements and stack profiles on load
Set-up and start-up any profile for all machines in a work cell
Trouble-shoot advanced problems against a defined process and refer complex problems to appropriate support functions; ie - Technicians and Engineering
Train new Extruder Operators
Identify and communicate appropriately when electrical/mechanical/technical support is needed
Participate and sustain 5S activities
Work in a safe manner and follow safety policies. Make sure co-workers are working safely and following safety policies
Participate in & lead kaizen events and sustain improvements made from those events
Lead work cell when needed
Perform maintenance tasks as necessary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under limited supervision, the Extruder Packer will be expected to tend to and operate extrusion machines in a work cell to produce required parts as determined by customer requirements and the production schedule. Clearly understands and has demonstrated strong capability with set-ups, start-ups, running and tearing down any profile tooling in a safe and productive manner. Troubleshoot extrusion issues within a work cell.
* Tend to and operate extrusion machines in a work cell to produce required parts as determined by customer requirements and the production schedule
* Analyze production data and make necessary adjustments to operation of machines within the work cell
* Move materials in and out of the line as needed; including packaging materials, raw materials, and finished product
* Complete necessary documentation; process checks, quality checks, production reporting, etc.
* Create labels and wrap loads per standard work. Fill in for lead in signing off loads
* Evaluate part conformance against documented product requirements and stack profiles on load
* Set-up and start-up any profile for all machines in a work cell
* Trouble-shoot advanced problems against a defined process and refer complex problems to appropriate support functions; ie - Technicians and Engineering
* Train new Extruder Operators
* Identify and communicate appropriately when electrical/mechanical/technical support is needed
* Participate and sustain 5S activities
