The Field Service / Equipment Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated dispensing and processing equipment at customer sites. Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and service automated equipment at customer locations
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Diagnose equipment failures and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
Calibrate, test, and validate equipment performance to ensure proper operation
Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
Train customer personnel on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance
Document service activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately and timely
Communicate findings, recommendations, and service updates clearly to internal teams and customers
Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and system improvements
Follow all safety protocols and comply with company and customer safety requirements
Travel extensively to customer sites, including overnight stays as required
Required Qualifications
Technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in electromechanical systems
3+ years of experience servicing industrial, manufacturing, or automated equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled or automated systems (basic to intermediate level)
Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working in customer-facing environments
Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automated dispensing, packaging, or material handling systems
Exposure to manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, or industrial environments

Assemble electronic or mechanical products from blueprints using assembly fixtures and power bench tools. Cut & crimp wires, form, connect and perform simple soldering in accordance with instructions.
