Key Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on 4 diesel-powered tractors and 20 refrigerated trailers to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in tractors and reefer units, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and cooling systems. • Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration systems on trailers, ensuring proper temperature control for perishable goods. • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and lubrication of moving parts. • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and labor hours. • Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other relevant safety standards. • Collaborate with fleet managers to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime. • Keep the workshop and tools clean, organized, and in good working condition.     Apply Description Hoopaugh Grading Company, LLC (“HGC”) is actively seeking an experienced Articulated Truck Driver to operate a Caterpillar or Volvo off-road dump truck driver. This position will be under the direction and supervision of a foreman or superintendent and will work with a team of other construction professionals. The job description noted below is not intended to describe, in detail, the multitude of tasks that may be assigned but rather to give the employee a general sense of the responsibilities and expectations of his/her position. What You Bring: · Perform daily inspection of machine. · Safely follow travel route. · Use hand and foot controls to operate truck. · Know when truck is level and straight before dumping load. · Travel at a safe, productive speed based on haul road conditions. · Utilize HGC's core values in daily duties. · Communicate professionally with everyone on site, including but not limited to supervisors, teammates, contractors, clients and vendor partners. · Understand, interpret, and follow goals and directions from a foreman or superintendent. · Maintain attendance at work, including presence at work during regular work hours or other schedule as may be assigned by the foreman or superintendent. Acceptance of overtime assignments also may be required in order to operational needs. · Attend training at HGC Academy Other Duties & Responsibilities · Perform other various assignments as assigned. What our team needs from you: · Must be able to safely drive in and out of work areas, including backing up and driving forward. · Must be willing to work Monday through Friday 7AM-5:30PM, or other schedule as may be assigned by the foreman or superintendent, as well as Saturdays when needed. · Must be highly motivated and willing to learn. · Mush have One (1) year off-road dump truck experience required. · Must enjoy working outside in all weather conditions. · Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates. · Must be able to understand site goals and direction. · Must pass a pre-employment drug and background screening. · Must have reliable transportation. · Must be 18 years of age or older.
