Prior to joining AAM, Howell was the manager of Japanese business operations for the former Chrysler Corporation, Howell was born in Corning, N.Y., and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He holds a certificate in East Asian Studies from Xi Bei University, Xian PRC, and a Masters of international business management from Thunderbird in Glendale, Ariz. Howell has proficiency in several languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin and Japanese.
