Core Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain core services and infrastructure used by Palantir.Ensure compliance of current Information Assurance (IA) policies, concepts, and measures when designing, procuring, adopting, and developing new ISConfiguring and maintaining services across different Linux systems.Automate vulnerability and security patching.Think about systems - their edge cases, failure modes, and life cycles - and how to improve the long-term reliability and scalability of services offered to end users Help debug, improve, and optimize services/infrastructure.

- Linux engineer (preferably Redhat), install and configuration of mail services, firewalls, LDAP, ssl, networks using rpm or yum commands. Scripting preferable.
- Active Directory principles, including: group policy object creation, management, and troubleshooting; AD OUs and security groups; domain authentication, nesting, and trusts.
- Windows OS installation and cloning; customization, configuration, and troubleshooting; and mass-deployment techniques.
- Database installation and patching of Oracle/Postgres, ability to write/run SQL queries.
- Familiarity with cloud provisioning in Azure.
- Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP: addressing, routing, troubleshooting IP port availability and connectivity, familiarity with default application IP ports.
- Basic knowledge of gateways, firewalls, and routers, and how to troubleshoot connectivity problems.
- Server hardware knowledge and troubleshooting skills a plus, including RAID configurations, partitioning, and general knowledge of system redundancy and failover architectures that achieve 'high availability' status.
- Virtual server implementation and management experience a plus.
- Superior technical writing ability.
- Ability to travel and spend extended time in project locations.
