Bob Carter is the Founder and CEO of Lion Street, launched in 2010. Bob draws on 35 years of success from building his own life insurance practice to creating one of the industry’s largest life insurance distribution companies. In 1976, Bob developed a significant insurance and benefits practice in Austin, Texas. He co-founded Partners Financial in 1987, and in 1999 was one of the three founders of National Financial Partners (NYSE: NFP), a nationwide life insurance distribution company. An active member of AALU, Bob served as an AALU Board member and President. He has served on the Board of Forum 400 and is on the Board of Trustees for Howard Payne University. Bob serves on Lion Street’s Board of Directors. Bob holds the CLU and ChFC designations, a Bachelor of Arts from Howard Payne University, and a Masters from Southwestern Seminary. He resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Cindy. His main interests are his four children, four grandchildren, golfing, and hunting in Mexico and Africa.

Brian Murphy has retired as Executive Director at Lion Street, and Lion Street's Board of Directors.Brian has held a variety of executive positions in the financial services and insurance industry. Through 2012, he was Executive Vice President of the Life Insurance business for The Hartford and Chairman of Woodbury Financial Services. Over his eleven years at Hartford, Brian was CEO of Woodbury, and he led the Individual Markets Group, which included annuities, mutual funds, PLANCO, and individual life at Hartford Life, Inc. Prior to joining The Hartford in 2001, Brian held a wide range of senior leadership positions within the insurance industry including sales, marketing, underwriting, claims, and administration. He started as an agent, sales manager, and Agency Manager prior to entering the home office at MONY. He was then executive vice president of insurance operations at American General Corporation, where he directed business processing, underwriting and administrative services for multiple distribution systems in six locations throughout the country. Brian is past Chairman for the Board of Directors of The Financial Services Institute (FSI), an organization advocating the needs and interests of independent broker dealers and their reps. He was also elected to the FINRA District 4 Committee, serving as Chair in 2007. Murphy is a past member on the life insurance sub-committee of the ACLI and a member of Issues Alliance for AALU. Jim Cahill is the Chief Financial Officer for Lion Street, charged with leading the operations for the financial, accounting and legal functions of the Company. He also manages investor relations and Lion Street’s capital resources and needs. With a solid background in process management and implementation, Jim concentrates his efforts towards maximizing efficiencies to increase profitability. Before coming to Lion Street, Jim served in a variety of executive roles with venture-backed companies including key leadership roles in the technology sector. Jim was a co-founder and served as president and chief financial officer of BreakingPoint Systems, Inc. Prior, at TippingPoint Technologies, Inc. Jim worked in a variety of executive roles from the company’s inception including Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of one of TippingPoint’s business units. He holds a Juris Doctorate and BBA in Finance from the University of Mississippi.

Kari Ratajczak is a Chief Financial Officer at Lion Street and is based in Simsbury, Connecticut. She has worked as VP Strategic Management and Project Management Office at Hartford Financial Services Group Inc/The; Senior Manager at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC); and VP Finance, Marketing, Communications, Chief of Staff and Sales Operations at Hartford Financial Services Group Inc/The. Kari attended University of Connecticut.
