Shape the Future of Segments at HubSpot
HubSpot is looking for a Senior Product Designer II to reimagine the future of segmentation - transforming our foundational Lists product into a powerful, AI-enabled audiences platform. You'll help build the end-to-end segmentation system that unlocks customer data and connects HubSpot users to their most valuable prospects-at the right time, with the right message.
Why This Role Matters
Segmentation is at the heart of how businesses understand and reach their customers. HubSpot is investing heavily in making our segmentation tools best-in-class, giving users the ability to deeply understand their data and connect with the right audiences, at the right time.
This role is critical to that vision. It goes beyond Lists - you'll work across teams to deeply integrate segmentation with personalization, automation, and CRM, ensuring a cohesive and strategic platform experience.
If you're energized by system-level design challenges, the possibilities of AI and segmentation, and excited about shaping a platform that will scale across HubSpot's entire ecosystem, this is the role for you.

Bring Systems Thinking to Craft: Shape, evolve, and contribute to our design systems; set standards and solve for consistency, scalability, and accessibility.
Leverage and Shape AI features: Ideate, design, and experiment with AI and automation-whether in customer features, predictive tools, or your own design workflow.
Collaborate & Lead Across Functions: Foster deep partnership with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Researchers, and Content Designers.
Measure & Iterate for Real Impact: Define success metrics, validate with analytics and qualitative insights, and iterate relentlessly for both user value and business outcomes.
Foster a Bold, Inclusive Culture: Elevate team craft, mentor others, share feedback, and help define what's next for the Product Platform at HubSpot.
What You'll Bring To HubSpot
Proven Product Design Craft Expertise: To stand out in the application process, share a portfolio that showcases depth of craft, systems thinking, and measurable impact on users and the business, especially in complex, scalable, or platform environments.
Please include at least three recent case studies highlighting these strengths.
Collaborative Leadership: A history of influencing outcomes across disciplines by building trust, driving alignment, and championing user-centric solutions.
Systems and Scale Thinking: Passion for connecting the dots across products and platforms, designing experiences that grow with our customers and business needs.
Adaptability & Change Readiness: Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive mindset in the face of change. You're energized by new challenges and thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
AI & Automation Curiosity: Excitement to work with (and continue learning about) AI and automation-whether to elevate customer experiences or optimize how we design and deliver.
Growth Mindset: A genuine drive to constantly learn, share knowledge, and help yourself and others get better, every day.
We Welcome You-Wherever You Are in Your Journey

Work cross-functionally with engineering and product partners across HubSpot.
Design, build, and support performant, secure, and scalable systems.
Drive quality in everything we ship, from planning and design through testing and deployment.

Loves to take ownership, work collaboratively, and figure things out in a fast-moving environment.
Consistently ships reliable, performant, well-tested code.
Has a thirst for technical challenges and distributed systems.
Knows how to foster autonomy, psychological safety, and learning on their teams.
Enjoys mentoring and coaching - and is open to learning from others too.

Is excited by the chance to impact all of HubSpot's engineers, and set the standard on a tier 1, business-critical system.

Auto-ApplyStaff Technical Lead
Cambridge, MA job
POS-29231
Do you get excited about building a platform that serves millions of customers and helps them grow their businesses? Are you the kind of engineer who thinks,
“there should really be a tool for this-so I'll create one”
? If so, we want to talk to you.
We're looking for an experienced Staff Technical Lead who understands the value of great tooling, thrives on solving complex technical problems, and is driven to create lasting customer impact.
About the Team
The Portability Team sits within the Account Management product group, which builds products that help our upmarket customers get the most out of HubSpot. Our mission is simple but ambitious: make “copy anything, anywhere” simple, reliable, and self-serve.
Portability already powers critical HubSpot experiences like Sandboxes and Multi-Account Asset Copier, enabling customers to seamlessly move lists, workflows, marketing emails, and other assets across HubSpot Instances (portals). But this is just the beginning. The space is full of opportunities and complex engineering challenges-from supporting an ever-growing variety of asset types to expanding into entirely new use cases. Tackling these problems means working on distributed systems at scale, building resilient frameworks, and creating tools that deliver leverage for multiple teams and millions of customers.
About the Role
As a Staff Technical Lead on the Portability Team, you will be a player-coach, leading a dedicated team of approximately 3-5 engineers. You are, first and foremost, a skilled and passionate engineer who thrives on building and creating.
This role offers a unique blend of hands-on contribution (about 75% of your time) and leadership responsibilities (about 25%). You'll stay deeply involved in coding and design while guiding your team in building high-quality, scalable, and reliable systems. You'll also collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the portability platform not only meets technical standards but also drives meaningful impact for our customers and HubSpot's growth.
We are looking for people who:
Have years of experience consistently delivering high-value, high-impact, cross-team projects. Staff and Principal Engineers are the most senior individual contributors at HubSpot. They continually raise the bar for the engineering organization and help drive product vision forward through architectural contributions coupled with consistent, hands-on coding.
Have a thirst for technical challenges implemented within secure, compliant systems. We leverage technologies such as Java, HBase, Vitess, Kafka, GraphQL and Dropwizard. We're not necessarily looking for someone who is an expert in a specific technology, but someone who is well-versed in engineering principles and eager to leverage them when running toward the problems that we face.
Stay deeply hands-on in technical work while also providing strategic direction, mentoring engineers, and collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders.
Have a history of building solutions with outsized organizational and business impact, raising the bar for technical excellence.
Demonstrate pragmatic decision-making and problem-solving abilities with a bias for fixing problems through technology rather than process.
Can guide teams beyond the status quo; we need engineers who lead us beyond what we have, and towards what we can build, while building a shared notion of how to get there.
Embodies our engineering team values.
Cash compensation range: ***********00 USD Annually

Cambridge, MA job

Sales Communications Architect
About the Role
We're looking for a Sales Communications Architect to design and build an AI-powered communications engine that transforms how we deliver critical messaging and manage change across HubSpot's global sales team. This is a newly created role that will work closely with senior leadership to turn communications from a point of friction into a key competitive advantage for our team.
We move fast at HubSpot, which means there is always a lot for our sales team to know and do. You will be “air traffic control”, architecting processes to prioritize and contextualize the information flowing to the sales team so they can focus on what's most important: helping our customers grow.
This isn't a traditional comms role - we're looking for someone to completely reimagine the way we approach sales comms with AI and automation at the center. You'll bring thought-leadership on comms strategy and process management, driving both efficiency and
quality
of the comms experience across the various roles in sales. Success is achieving a more sophisticated, curated comms experience without additional human overhead.
We're looking for someone who thrives in ambiguous environments, has a knack for communicating to diverse audiences, excels at process design, and is deeply curious about the evolving landscape of AI tools. We expect this role to evolve with time, and it's best suited for someone who is energized by the possibilities and wants to help shape the vision.
You'll be responsible for:
Building an AI-powered sales comms operating system - Serve as the central intake point for all internal sales communications with AI-driven triage, prioritization, and scheduling to ensure the right message gets to the right audience at the right time
Managing a unified internal comms calendar for Sales - Maintain a single source-of-truth view of all information flowing to the sales team, from tops-down exec comms to bottoms-up team updates, ensuring the sales team receives clear signal on what's most important
Shaping messaging that resonates with Sales - Leverage understanding of the sales team and business prioritizes to design messaging and materials that drive clarity and inspire action across multiple comms channels (email, slack, visual decks, video)
Researching and integrating emerging AI technologies - Aggressively evaluate and incorporate new tools and best practices to maintain a world-class communications infrastructure that scales with organizational growth.
Supporting strategic sales initiatives - Drive communications and support project management for major sales initiatives and events across multiple formats and global audiences, in partnership with sales leadership and cross-functional partners
What we're looking for:
Exceptional Communications Skills - Thought leader in comms strategy; ability to craft clear and engaging comms that resonate with diverse audiences across multiple modalities
AI Technology Expertise - Comprehensive understanding of current AI technologies with demonstrated curiosity and ability to continuously adapt to emerging tools
Systems Thinking - Experience building scalable, automated systems and workflows that can adapt and evolve with changing business needs
Business Acumen & Stakeholder Management - Ability to understand and align communications strategy with broader sales objectives and organizational priorities; comfort working across cross-functional leadership to drive alignment
Comfort with Ambiguity - High tolerance for ambiguity, strong bias for action, and problem-solving mindset with the expectation of continuously reinventing the role as technology and business needs evolve
Our ideal candidate has:
5+ years of experience working directly with sales teams, ideally through a sales leadership, sales enablement, or sales operations role
Global perspective with experience managing communications across multiple time zones and cultural contexts
Track record of building innovative processes from the ground up in high-growth environments with lean resourcing
Genuine passion for researching and experimenting with AI tools to drive improved business outcomes
Creativity to imagine fresh, engaging ways to share information across written and visual modalities that align with brand voice and visual standards

Cambridge, MA job
HubSpot welcomes individuals to join our Sales team as a Business Development Representative (BDR). As part of our commitment to building a hybrid company, BDRs can be flexible with their work location with the choice to either be based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, or remotely in the US.
🚀 Join HubSpot as an Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR)
📍
Remote (US) or Cambridge, MA
We'll be honest - sales isn't easy, and it's not for everyone. But for those who love a challenge, thrive on results, and want to launch a long-term path in sales, it's incredibly rewarding.
If you're looking to “try out” sales or just dip a toe in, this probably isn't the role for you. But, if you're the kind of person who wakes up hungry to compete, thrives on setting and smashing goals, and wants to build a career in tech sales from the ground up - we want to talk to you.
At HubSpot, our BDRs are not only the first point of contact for our prospects-they're also developing the skills and mindset to become our next generation of Account Executives. This is not a placeholder job - it's the first chapter of a high-growth sales career designed for those who want to build skills, embrace feedback, move fast, and grow even faster.
The Role:
As an Outbound BDR, you'll play a key role in HubSpot's growth engine. You'll be the first touchpoint for many of our future customers, sparking conversations through strategic outreach, uncovering pain points, and qualifying leads. You'll partner closely with Account Executives to deliver high-quality meetings that drive pipeline, impact, and revenue. Along the way, you'll sharpen your sales toolkit daily and gain exposure to a world-class sales organization.
Compensation & Career Track:
This is the first of three levels in our BDR program - designed to take you from prospecting pro to promoting to a full-cycle closer.
💰 Base salary: $52,220 USD
📈 On-target commission: $22,380 USD
🎯 OTE (on-target earnings): $74,600 USD
With each promotion, both salary and commission increase - along with your impact.

Own and execute outbound prospecting through high-volume outreach (60-100+ activities/day) via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
Collaborate with Account Executives to target strategic accounts and refine outreach strategy.
Qualify leads based on fit, need, and urgency - and book quality discovery meetings.
Hit (and exceed) KPIs for activity, meetings delivered, and pipeline impact.
Grow fast. Learn fast. Get coached. Apply it. Repeat.
What You
Won't
Do:
Coast. We move fast, we test, we iterate, and we compete.
Wait for someone to tell you what to do. We value self-starters who take ownership.
Treat this as “just a job.” This is a foundational role, setting you up for a successful long term career in sales.
We're Looking For People Who:
✅ Are eager to grow long-term within a sales path-if your focus is split between sales and other paths like customer success, marketing, operations, etc, this role likely won't be the best fit.
✅ Are resilient, coachable, and crave feedback to improve.
✅ Are curious and ask
why
, not just
how
.
✅ Set high standards for themselves - and hit them.
✅ Are technologically fluent, adapting to new technologies and leveraging AI in your day-to-day.
✅ Communicate clearly, write thoughtfully, and can confidently conduct a cold call.
✅ Are energized by a fast-paced environment and a bit of friendly competition.
✅ Either have past sales success
or
have demonstrated excellence in goal-driven roles (think: fundraising, athletics, service industry, etc).
Tools We Use (and You'll Learn):

📊 If you've been in sales before, highlight metrics like quota attainment.
Bottom Line:
We're looking for future stars, not just seat-fillers. If you want to grow into an elite sales professional and are ready to work hard, get uncomfortable, and see what you're really capable of - this is your shot.

Auto-ApplyPrincipal Software Engineer - Commerce
Cambridge, MA job
POS-9034 About the Team Commerce Hub is building the backbone for businesses to sell, bill, get paid, and manage revenue inside HubSpot. Our systems handle billions of dollars in transactions for our customers, so correctness, clarity, and predictability matter. We're creating an AI-first commerce platform that's deeply integrated with HubSpot's CRM - simple, consistent, and extensible across every part of the seller and buyer experience.
About the Role
We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer to help shape the technical future of Commerce Hub. This is a very hands-on role. You'll write code, dive into services, review tough designs, debug messy systems, and directly own the architecture behind some of the most critical surfaces in CPQ, Billing, Payments, and Revenue OS.
What You'll Do
Build a simple, consistent, extensible platform
* Shape the technical roadmap across CPQ, Billing, and Payments with strong, opinionated patterns.
* Define and evolve core domain models so pricing, products, contracts, invoices, and payments behave predictably everywhere.
* Create frameworks that make the platform easy to extend without adding complexity.
Be a deeply hands-on, high-leverage builder
* Write code regularly. Lead design reviews and build high-impact systems end-to-end.
* Own large multi-team initiatives that span CPQ, Billing and Payments.
* Take prototypes to production at scale.
Lead architectural direction
* Set patterns for extensibility, contract boundaries, financial correctness, event-driven consistency, and how AI/agents safely interact with commerce objects.
* Push for simplicity where the domain wants to get complicated, and consistency where surfaces can drift.
Partner deeply with product leadership
* Influence product strategy across CPQ, Buyer Portal, and Revenue OS.
* Help teams make clear tradeoffs between speed, correctness, compliance, and long-term platform health.
Raise the bar across the org
* Mentor senior engineers and tech leads.
* Drive thoughtful design decisions and guide learnings from incidents and large migrations.
* Help teams align on patterns that reduce complexity and increase reliability.
What You Bring
* Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems with strict correctness requirements.
* Background working with complex state machines, financial flows, or high-integrity data models.
* Strong architectural instincts with a bias toward simplicity, consistency, and well-defined boundaries.
* The ability to work horizontally across many teams and get alignment on platform patterns.
* A habit of turning ambiguity into clear plans and working software-and staying hands-on every step of the way.
