Liquid Web CEO and leadership

James Geiger has served on our board of directors since 2007 and has served as our Chairman since December 2014. Geiger has served as Chief Executive Officer of Liquid Web, a global provider of professional web hosting and managed cloud services, since July 2015. Prior to joining Liquid Web, Geiger was the founder of Cbeyond, a public company that provided Voice over Internet Protocol-based managed services, and had served as its Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer since its inception in 1999 through its sale in 2014. Prior to that, Geiger held various positions with Intermedia Communications, FiberNet, a metropolitan area network provider, Frontier Communications, a provider of telecommunications services, and Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), a professional services firm. Geiger currently serves on the boards of directors of the Marist School, an independent Catholic School of the Marist Fathers and Brothers and the Hands On Network, a national volunteer organization that promotes civic engagement in communities. Geiger holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting and pre-law from Clarkson University.

Carrie A. Wheeler serves as a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Liquid Web. In this role, she has responsibility for all critical customer facing functions including Service Delivery and Implementation, Customer Care and Technical Support, Network & Security Operations, and Customer Renewal, Sales, and Retention. She also leads Liquid Web's Enterprise Account Management and Support organization.

Prior to this role, Carrie A. Wheeler recently served as Cbeyond's Chief Operations Officer with responsibility for all critical customer facing functions and oversaw the management and retention of ~$400mil in annual revenue for the company. Before becoming Cbeyond's COO, she served as the CIO for the company leading IT Strategy and Planning, IT Governance, and all Systems Development teams.

Prior to joining Cbeyond, Carrie held several IT leadership positions at AT&T, BellSouth, MCI Communications and Accenture. In previous roles, she held leadership positions across a variety of organizational functions including IT strategy, merger and acquisition planning and execution, customer operations, systems development, quality assurance, program management and capital management, and process definition and development.

Carrie complements her diverse set of skills by giving back to the community where she lives in works. Carrie currently serves as the Chair of the Technology Association of Georgia's Education Collaborative. She is an active supporter of Girls Inc. Women in Technology, Atlanta Telecommunications Professionals and Cbeyond's Women's Network. In 2010, she was nominated for Women in Technology's Women of the Year Award and in 2011 was honored with the award. In 2013, she was honored as Georgia's CIO of the Year for Enterprise Markets.

Carrie holds a Masters in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing & Finance from Trinity University.

Joe Oesterling is a CTO at Liquid Web and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. He has worked as EVP Technology and Operations at CBEYOND, INC..

Adam Williams is a Chief Revenue Officer at Liquid Web and is based in Roanoke, Virginia. He has worked as Director of Channel Sales at Mailtrust, LLC (formerly Webmail.us, Inc, acquired by Rackspace); General Manager, Cloud Office International at Rackspace; and Founder at 440Web.com. Adam works or has worked as Mentor at Everwise. He attended Washington and Lee University between 1991 and 1995.
