We are looking for an intern who wants to get their hands dirty, enjoys problem-solving and working with heavy construction equipment. Essential Duties & Position Responsibilities: * Responsible for performing the maintenance and repairs on all types of equipment as directed by the maintenance schedule, adjusting as needed. * Performs diagnostics to identify issues and make necessary adjustments to equipment for safe and efficient operation. * Takes part in scheduled preventive maintenance projects within the shop and field as needed. * Performs all work according to OSHA | MSHA safety policies. * Perform other duties as required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Currently enrolled in a 2-year degree program in diesel mechanics, construction, agricultural equipment mechanics or related study * Ability to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills * Own mechanic tool set * Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment * High level of energy and motivation. * Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holiday work required. * Must be a strong team player, able to work effectively with a variety of people, personalities, skills and organizational levels. Physical and other requirements: * Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 80 pounds. * Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit. * Work extended hours out of doors in a variety of weather conditions. * Travel and some Saturday work are required.
