CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Track and monitor individual student growth or drops in performance

The Instructional Technology teacher instructs students in Instructional Technology classes and manages the school library. In addition, the Instructional Technology teacher serves as a resource to other teachers in the implementation and use of technology in the classroom.

Plans and develops instructional technology curriculum based on the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.

Prepares and implements instructional technology lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students.

Oversees computer labs and equipment for safety and maintenance.

Works closely with the IT department for general upkeep of computer labs.

Manages the circulation and distribution of library materials for students.

Withdraws obsolete or worn out resources.

Models and demonstrates care giver qualities that treat all students and staff with dignity and respect. Supports and incorporates Stetson School's ACORN philosophy in daily interactions.

Creates a safe and effective classroom environment for student learning.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

B.A. in Instructional Technology or related field. Masters degree preferred.

Valid Massachusetts Teaching license in Instructional Technology.

LANGUAGE:

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
