Our attorneys are in court on a daily basis on landlord-tenant and other real estate matters throughout central Indiana. Responsibilities:
Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
Prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings
Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations
Working knowledge of client management systems, calendaring, and task management
Able to manage multiple cases with conflicting deadlines and time pressures.
Qualifications:
Active member of the Indiana Bar (required).
Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
Must have a clean record with respect to malpractice judgments and bar grievance determinations

The candidate would be engaged mostly on the defense side of civil litigation and defend large-scale entities, professional- and general-liability claims, primarily in tort and civil rights claims. The candidate could expect to litigate commercial, election, or administrative matters too. This individual will also work closely with Litigation Partners and other associates. This person could expect to have a hands-on litigation desk, involving discovery, taking/defending depositions, drafting pleadings, and attending hearings. This person will also enjoy direct client contact, as well as interaction with witnesses and court personnel. This individual must possess IN bar licensure.
