MMB is seeking an experienced corporate associate attorney to focus on traditional and complex transactions for sophisticated clients, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, closely held business structuring, and tax planning. The firm uses a team approach to projects, working in a collegial environment to accomplish the client's goals. Corporate Attorney Responsibilities & Skills
· 8+ years of sophisticated corporate transactional experience at a reputable law firm
· Experience should include a broad range of transactional services, including medium and large mergers & acquisitions; growth stage entity representation; private placements; financing transactions (equity, debt, mezzanine, etc.); debt & equity structuring/restructuring; sale leaseback transactions; private equity representation; transaction document drafting, negotiation, and closing
· Experience in a multi-disciplinary approach which may include finance or taxation expertise in addition to legal expertise
· Self-starter with exceptional oral and written communication skills to resolve disputes, clarify, or answer questions, providing excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
· Resourcefully moves projects forward and solves issues and problems
· Ensures documents presented for signature are thoroughly reviewed and error free
· Experience in the areas of tax, real estate, litigation, land use planning, commercial lending, intellectual property, and/or estate planning, may also be considered
· Billable hour requirement: 1,800 hours per year
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree
· Juris doctor or equivalent from an accredited law school required
· Active license to practice law and/or membership in state bar
· Additional consideration will be given for CPA, MBA, or similar professional experience in addition to legal degree
Corporate Responsibilities
Work with legal administrative assistant &/or paralegal to delegate work, providing clear expectations, oversight, and guidance throughout projects.

· Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills; including support & interaction with partners, fellow associates, and firm clients.
· Ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions, in coordination with the senior partners.

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Ability to utilize standard office equipment (copier, keyboard, phone).
