In order to expand its current footprint in the Providence and Southcoast market, DarrowEverett LLP is looking to hire an Associate Attorney for our Litigation Department with immediate availability. The candidate must have excellent communication and administrative skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, be able to multitask without sacrificing efficiency, be responsible, and be able to represent the firm and its clients in ways that enhance its reputation. Role & Responsibilities:
Minimum 1-3 years of litigation experience in state and federal courts
Able to participate in all aspects of the firm's professional activities, including client intake, trial preparation, etc.
Ability to handle litigation matters from inception through trial with minimal supervision
Experience with drafting complex pleadings, motions, as well as arguing discovery and dispositive motions. Formulate and develop case strategy, advise clients on risk mitigation, and pre-suit resolution options
Conducts research, interviews clients, and witnesses and handles other details for comprehensive case management
Mediation and AAA, and other arbitration experience is preferable
Perform complex legal research; experience with Westlaw and other legal research tools is required
Qualifications:
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of the laws and rules, as well as state and federal court procedures
Ability to handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis
