The main focus of this position will focus on the following:
- Review each client contract & MSA to identify risk, exposure, indemnification, limits to liability, performance guarantees, deliverables, pricing, payment terms, and all other key points then work with the President and client or their attorney to negotiate mutually agreeable terms.
- Work closely with the President while negotiating contract terms and structure that reduces risk while optimizing the company's position.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors that minimizes risk and positions the company favorably.
- Work closely with the President while negotiating Joint venture partner agreements.
- Once contracts are fully executed, abstract the contract to highlight the most important terms, clauses, and obligations. Work with the accounting and operations teams to ensure all are aware of the most important elements of the contract.
- Provide oversight while making sure the company is in compliance with all contracts.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION. The Workers Compensation Attorney is a key position responsible for providing legal support in the Workers Compensation Practice group. Provide legal counsel to clients on all aspects of workers compensation cases, including evaluating the merits of a workers compensation case, providing guidance and counsel through effective communication, medical review, and negotiating, settling, and litigating cases.
Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Effectively communicate with clients and the managing attorney(s) to understand and effectuate the client's goals.
Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
Analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and research case law, statutes, regulations, and documents impacting the firm's clients.
Communicate clearly and logically (orally and in writing) with regulatory agencies, courts, counsel, clients, and managing attorneys.
