We represent clients in Misdemeanor and Felony cases all over Metro Atlanta. We service the entire Metro Area, including Bartow, Cherokee, Paulding, Cobb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Dekalb, and Clayton County. We are collaborative in our approach, and our goal is to find a New Associate for to work on our Misdemeanor and Felony cases. This is a full-time, no holds barred, all-in litigation attorney position. The job requires a lot of driving and traveling from courthouse to courthouse. The job also requires doing new potential client consultations, and managing the case from the initial consultation meeting all the way through to final disposition. We currently have a team of 5 Support Staff and 2 lawyers, and we are looking to add another attorney to our team. We believe that to properly defend our clients you have to investigate each case and making ourselves available to our clients as their guide. We take a hands-on approach in every case, and encourage creativity and investigation by our attorneys. This position is client facing. You will be assigned clients and will be responsible for returning their calls and keeping them updated on their case, as well as appearing at all court dates and prepping the cases for litigation. This is a litigation position. A willingness to argue Motions and fight cases to Trial is required, and will be rewarded through growth opportunity and commission incentives. We require our attorneys to make themselves available to our clients. We have a flexible in-office work schedule, but expect all current client calls to be returned by the end of business each day. Our attorneys begin with a caseload of 10-15 cases and grow to around 65-80 cases depending on ability. We have a team of paralegals that manage intake, filings, open records, and set discovery review meetings. The lawyers are responsible only for the lawyering. We have a client experience manager that will help facilitate answers to quick questions, but there will be some after-hours client communication and case preparation that is unavoidable in the role. Responsibilities: * Going to Court to represent Clients * Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs. * Conduct legal research and provide advice on legal matters. * Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients. * Prepare and present cases in court. * Negotiate case resolutions with Prosecutors * Provide guidance to clients on their legal rights and obligations. * Maintain client confidentiality. * Communicate with clients about case status and questions about upcoming court dates. * Represent clients in court, including Calendar Calls, Motions, and Trial. * Respond to current client calls within 24 hours * 2-5 Potential Client consultations per day * Attendance at Community Events Sponsored by the Law Firm * Maintaining a 50% closed case/5-star Review percentage If you believe you are up to the challenge, we would love to have you. The firm is seeking an associate attorney with 5-7 years of experience in leveraged finance and private credit to join its Finance & Financial Services practice group. The ideal candidate has substantial experience representing financial institutions, private credit funds, BDCs, and non-bank lenders in sophisticated, sponsor-backed transactions. This role involves significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and ownership of workstreams within a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and support sponsor-backed acquisition financings across various industries, including cross-border and multi-currency transactions. Structure and negotiate cash-flow and asset-based lending facilities (senior, senior-stretch, superpriority revolvers). Handle multi-lender and syndicated credit facilities, including intercreditor and subordination arrangements. Work on mezzanine and subordinated debt, preferred equity co-investments, and other structured financing solutions. Advise on liability management transactions (LMEs), including uptier exchanges, covenant resets, amendments, waivers, drop-downs, and exchange offers. Manage amend-and-extend transactions, refinancings, and recapitalizations for sponsor portfolio companies. Requirements 5-7 years of leveraged finance/private credit experience at a national, NY-style firm. JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Bar admission in one or more listed jurisdictions (FL, NY, MA, IL, GA, NC, TX) or eligibility to become licensed. Minimum three days per week in-office. Deep familiarity with LMEs, unitranche/FOLO structures, multi-lender syndications, and sponsor finance market terms. Strong drafting skills (credit agreements, security documents, intercreditors, commitment papers). Proven ability to manage complex transactions and client relationships. Big-law training and a track record of handling sophisticated deals.
