Lead on engaging senior management, including senior executives (i.e., regional, divisional, global, and group-wide executives) and DHL Group Boards on risks and requisite remedies or solutions in the above described areas.
Lead attorney on DHL Group's Global Customs Committee, chaired by the Global Customs Office (GCO), and including Global Divisional Customs Compliance Officers for all divisions, and Global Divisional leads. Lead discussions within the committee on customs compliance issues and internal investigations where there is a US nexus.

Your Mission
As our Lead Trial Attorney and Loudoun County Market Leader, you will take primary responsibility for litigating personal injury cases in Virginia courts while building and managing our presence in Northern Virginia. You will handle complex cases from intake through verdict, mentor legal staff, and strengthen our firm's footprint through relationship building and community leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as primary trial counsel for Virginia personal injury cases, managing litigation from filing through verdict or settlement
Prepare and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery in Circuit and General District Courts throughout Northern Virginia
Conduct depositions, mediations, and trials with a high level of preparation and professionalism
Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
Collaborate with investigators, reconstructionists, and medical experts to build strong cases for trial
Case Management and Client Advocacy
Manage a caseload of personal injury cases including auto accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death matters
Provide proactive, empathetic communication to clients while maintaining strong litigation outcomes
Ensure cases are handled efficiently, ethically, and in accordance with firm standards
Market Growth and Leadership
Lead the litigation and trial operations of our new Loudoun County office
Build relationships with referral partners, local bar associations, and the Northern Virginia legal community
Partner with firm leadership to design and execute strategies that drive visibility and growth in the Northern Virginia market

Required Skills
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active Virginia Bar license (required)
Minimum 4+ years of personal injury litigation experience with demonstrated trial success
Deep familiarity with Virginia's court system, rules, and local practices
Excellent trial advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills
Strong leadership presence and ability to mentor others
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for helping grow a regional office
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for court appearances
Preferred
Licensure in West Virginia and/or Maryland
Required Experience
Licensed and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar
Proven trial experience within Virginia courts, having independently led and successfully completed a minimum of three (3) personal injury trials from start to verdict
Ability to manage cases end-to-end with minimal oversight, including litigation strategy, discovery, motion practice, client communication, and courtroom advocacy
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a growth-focused, fast-moving environment where initiative, accountability, and client-first communication are essential
