Bialson, Bergen & Schwab, a boutique law firm located in Menlo Park, California, is seeking an experienced bankruptcy-commercial paralegal. We represent some of the most established technology companies in the San Francisco/Silicon Valley area in connection with their creditor rights and creditor focused bankruptcy matters. The firm seeks a team member who is experienced, motivated and ready to participate in a range of different projects and become an integral part of the future of the firm. Depending on the individual, there may be flexibility with respect to whether the position is part-time or full-time. Although office space is available as desired, it is anticipated that the position could be essentially remote. That said, a qualified candidate located in Northern California is preferred.
The successful candidate will be one of two or more paralegals responsible for effectively monitoring creditor side bankruptcy matters from inception to conclusion and generally assisting with commercial matters as they arise. The activities generally include review of incoming notices, gathering and organizing information, and preparing documentation in an organized and cohesive manner with regard complex claims, claim objections and similar creditor situations. Our scope is international and the successful candidate may be expected to work directly with local counsel across different regions. The firm's practice also includes drafting commercial agreements and commercial and creditor focused litigation. Experience in one or both of these areas would be helpful. The vast majority of the successful candidates activities will be focused on domestic creditor bankruptcy matters.

In this role, you will work closely with attorneys to support clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, property settlements, and marital agreements. Responsibilities:
Support attorneys in handling family law cases, including divorce, child custody, property settlements, and marital agreements
Maintain and organize electronic client files, ensuring they are accurate and accessible
Conduct legal research as needed and assist attorneys in tracking court deadlines and managing calendars
Act as the main liaison between clients and attorneys, facilitating communication and providing case updates
Draft legal forms, pleadings, and discovery documents; coordinate court filings and process serving
