What You'll Do
You'll act as a strategic partner to the attorney and own a variety of litigation responsibilities, including:
Ensuring the attorney meets deadlines and is prepared for court and meetings

Having the ability to fully understand the complete picture and status of files and to be able to provide a summary
Client intake and onboarding, organizing new matters
Drafting pleadings including complaints, answers, counterclaims, etc.
Preparing and responding to discovery demands, subpoenas, and disclosures
Drafting and organizing motion papers: notices of motion, affirmations/affidavits, memoranda of law, and exhibits
Performing factual and legal research
Managing court filings through NYSCEF
Confidently and effectively communicating with the courts and adversaries, including opposing counsel and self-represented parties
Regularly communicating with and providing updates to clients and help cultivate relationships
Manage case deadlines and proactively maintain calendars and workflows
You'll also support the growth and efficiency of the practice by identifying areas to improve systems and helping the firm move cases forward without missing a beat.

Rivkin Radler is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, litigationparalegal for our Uniondale office. EOE. Qualified candidates should have: • A minimum of 1 year of paralegal experience in No Fault litigation (defense). • Intermediate to advanced computer skills using Word, Excel, and Adobe, as well as case management software.
• A paralegal certificate from an ABA certified program (preferred).
• Long term career goals in our field of practice.
• The ability to handle a heavy case load.
• The ability to work for multiple attorneys and clients simultaneously.
• Experience communicating with clients, court officials, vendors, and other outside entities.
Duties include: scheduling, client contact, drafting correspondence, drafting pleadings and discovery, researching legal issues, handling PIP and property damage claims, reviewing medical records, and providing additional paralegal support as needed.
The annualized salary range for this position is $50,000 to $65,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
