Overview: Our seeks a skilled and experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its team. Company: Our client is a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on the acquisition and operation of single-tenant, industrial properties throughout the United States. Experience: Seven or more years' transactional experience acquired in a top law firm and/or well-respected in-house environment. Location: Boston, Massachusetts. Responsibilities Include: Review negotiate and draft a variety of complex commercial real estate agreements including: access agreements, assignments, termination agreements, consents to assignment, consents to sublease, estoppel certificates, confidentiality or Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDAs), SNDAs, move-out obligation letters, default notices and demand letters, and landlord waiver agreements. Review lease agreements and draft simple lease amendments, extensions or renewals and real estate license agreements (short-term leases). Assist due diligence coordinator with the process of acquiring and disposing of properties (obtaining diligence reports, coordinating with third-party professionals, coordinating with internal team members, tracking deadlines, etc.). Review and provide initial comments on NDAs from third parties. Maintain and track expirations of letters of credit. Collect, organize, and maintain diligence materials in connection with securities offerings and borrowing transactions. Qualifications Include: Excellent academic credentials including a baccalaureate degree from a well-respected US University. Seven or more years relevant transactional experience, preferably with three or more years at a law firm servicing commercial real estate clients. Corporate paralegals provide legal support with general corporate maintenance and complex transactions for both private and public company clients.
