Key Responsibilities
Maintains the confidential treatment of documents, communications, and sensitive information.
Works with various stakeholders and online databases to gather and organize legal documents and other key information for legal proceedings.
Works with outside counsel to meet the document demands of legal proceedings.
Responds to and processes correspondence that may include administrative and technical data in the form of a draft or the finished final document.
Maintains files according to records management specifications and follows up with key due dates.
Maintains legal documents utilizing an electronic filing system.
Engages with appropriate internal and external parties to ensure relevant materials are identified, located, and secured.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of legal support or administrative office experience; Associate degree in Paralegal Studies and Paralegal/Legal Assistant certification preferred.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

JOB DUTIES
Completes comprehensive screenings and assessments of clients if indicated and ensures treatment of clients with co-occurring disorders is provided by appropriately trained and qualified clinical staff (N.J.A.C.-10:161B-1.8(d)5., N.J.A.C.-13:34-10 2, and N.J.A.C.-13:34-10.3)
Completes Clinical Assessments, consultations, and psychotherapeutic counseling services under the supervision of a State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (N.J.A.C. 13:44G-8.1(2) or other clinical supervisors deemed as appropriate by the Committee under N.J.A.C. 13:34C-6.2 and 6.4 or the supervision of a qualified supervisor as defined in N.J.A.C. 13:34-10.2)

Litigation paralegal job in Westbury, NY
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal (Plaintiff Side) to join its legal team in their Westbury, NY Office. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in all phases of personal injury cases, from intake through settlement or trial. This role requires the ability work with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draft, review, and file legal documents including complaints, discovery responses, subpoenas, motions, and settlement agreements.
Manage case files and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Coordinate and schedule depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and court appearances.
Request, review, and summarize medical records and bills.
Communicate with clients to provide case updates and gather necessary information.
Track case deadlines and ensure timely filings.
Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and other materials for hearings and trials.
Assist with negotiating and finalizing lien resolutions and settlements.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm.
Understanding of personal injury litigation, court procedures, and legal terminology.
Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Paralegal certificate or associate's/bachelor's degree preferred.
