The Customer Service Representative role is an exciting opportunity to support the Sherman, TX, Emerson team. Emerson has an exciting opportunity in our Sherman, TX, location to join our team as a Weekend Shift Machinist (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6AM-6PM). If you are safety conscious, follow through on commitments, and work well in a team environment, this position is for you. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for producing parts of a high degree of complexity for the Sherman operations. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: * Producing parts and meeting all specifications and tolerance required from work orders, shop orders, and/or Fisher specifications. * Operating any machine, including manual and CNC machines, to its proven capability in a highly productive manner. * Coordinating setups and programming issues with machine shop programmers including setting up the part, defining work planes, and managing different geometries. * Inspecting all detail parts to ensure operations conform to requirement. * Maintaining accurate and detailed records. * Reporting status of work using computer input, bar code, or other devices as required. For This Role, You Will Need: * High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) * Completion of Machine Shop program at an accredited school or equivalent machining experience. * Proficiency with Mastercam. * Proficient with the use of manual and CNC machines including ability to read and edit CNC programs. * Ability to use micrometers, dial calipers, functional gauges and engineering prints.
