Position Summary
The Mobile RV Service Technician is a self-directed, field-based role responsible for providing on-site RV diagnostics, repair, and maintenance services at customer locations. This position owns the entire service experience-from travel and customer communication to estimating, repair execution, documentation, and payment collection. The role requires strong technical expertise, professionalism, and the ability to operate independently while representing the company brand in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Field Service & Repairs
Perform mobile diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of RV systems, including but not limited to:
Electrical (12V/120V)
Plumbing and water systems
Appliances
HVAC
Slide-outs, leveling systems, and general mechanical components
Complete repairs safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company standards
Verify repair quality before job closeout
Customer Interaction & Service Experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during mobile service visits
Communicate findings, repair options, timelines, and costs clearly and professionally
Set realistic expectations and provide status updates throughout the service process
Maintain a courteous, solution-oriented approach while working at customer locations
Estimates, Work Orders & Documentation
Diagnose issues and prepare accurate service estimates in the field
Create, update, and close work orders using company systems or tools
Document labor, parts used, photos, and repair notes thoroughly and accurately
Obtain customer authorization prior to performing work beyond the original estimate
Payment & Administrative Responsibilities
Collect payment upon service completion in accordance with company policies
Ensure proper handling of invoices, receipts, and payment confirmations
Maintain accurate records for billing, warranty, and compliance purposes
Travel & Vehicle Responsibility
Travel to customer locations as assigned, managing routes and schedules efficiently
Operate and maintain company-provided service vehicles, tools, and equipment
Maintain inventory of commonly used parts and supplies, notifying leadership of replenishment needs
Maintain accurate DOT travel and trip records for drivers
Review driver logs, electronic logging device (ELD) data, and mileage reports
Ensure compliance with DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
Verify supporting documents such as fuel receipts, tolls, and trip sheets
Identify and report log discrepancies or violations
Compliance & Safety
Follow all safety protocols, DOT requirements (if applicable), and company policies
Maintain required licenses, certifications, and training
Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and workmanship
Required Qualifications
3+ years of RV technical repair experience
Strong working knowledge of RV systems and diagnostics
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency using mobile devices, service software, and digital documentation tools
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and work in varying outdoor conditions
Preferred Qualifications
RVTI certification or equivalent technical certifications
Prior mobile service or field-based technician experience
Customer-facing service experience with payment handling
Familiarity with warranty and insurance repair documentation

Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:
Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.
Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity for the purposes of gaining information from suspected violators of laws to determine the appropriate course of action.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Ability to make rapid, accurate judgments and decisions with respect to the application of the regulations, instructions, and procedures for importing and exporting merchandise to and from the United States; or enforcement and administration of laws relating to the right of persons to enter, reside in or depart from the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Education Substitution: A master's (or higher) degree, or two or more years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience AND successfully completed graduate-level education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.

Formal Training: You will be required to complete a paid pre-academy orientation for approximately two (2) weeks at your home port. You will then attend a 101-day training program - CBP Field Operations Academy - conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) located in Glynco, GA. This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

This job is responsible for engaging clients in the lobby to educate and assist with conducting transactions through self-service resources, such as mobile banking, online banking, or ATM. Key responsibilities include accurately and efficiently processing cash transactions for clients as needed. Job expectations include having deep conversations with clients to gain in-depth knowledge of the financial and life priorities and connecting clients to solutions that meet the financial goals.

**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry, products and solutions
+ One year of demonstrated successful sales experience in a salary plus incentive environment with individual sales goals
+ Six months of cash handling experience
+ Bachelor's Degree or business-relevant Associate's Degree such as business management, business administration or finance
