The Caregiver is responsible for the implementation of resident care by assisting in the activities of daily living, activities, programs, housekeeping and laundry services. The provision of these services must be performed to ensure the health, welfare, safety and independence of our residents as the primary concern. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED. Responsibilities: * Assist residents with; activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing and grooming, transfers, ambulation, which may include wheelchair mobility * Encourage the residents to take an active part in the planned activities. * Participate in set up of dining room as directed, serve meals to residents, and assist residents during meal time as needed. * Provide laundry services as directed or as needed by a resident. * Clean a resident's room on a weekly basis by vacuuming carpets, sweeping and washing tile floors, sanitizing as necessary. * Practice safety procedures and comply with the established reporting of incidents, accidents and injuries to associates or residents * Complete all training and orientation requirements and attend all in-service training as outlined by State regulations and policies and procedures. * Report all changes in resident's status immediately to the charge nurse * Maintain local and state certification, if applicable * Comply with company policies and procedures * Clock in and out on their time card, no sooner than six (6) minutes before or after their scheduled shift. * Follow the instructions and supervision of their shift supervisor and will follow the chain of command when solving problems. * Call in appropriately to allow their shift to be filled if the need arises.
