Pay rate for this role is $72,500 - $135,000 annually (commensurate with experience and licensure)

Summary of the position:

Qualifications and abilities
Education: PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology OR Master's in Social Work

- If licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), (State of Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Title 16, sub chapter 14, Hawaii Revised Statues.):
o The APRN functions as an expert practitioner with educator consultant, researcher and leadership role components and functions autonomously and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of nursing practice and patient care.
o Provides health care that includes services to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. Our Hospitalist team who specializes in caring for patients during their stay in the hospital. The hospitalist's primary focus is providing medical care to a patient from the time of admission until the patient leaves the hospital. We review a new patient's past medical records, notifies the primary care physician, and performs a comprehensive history and physical examination when a patient is admitted. We coordinate medical care while patients are admitted and is available to spend time with the patient and their family to discuss the patient's care. We also work with nurses, case managers, and other physicians to design and coordinate an individual treatment plan for each patient. As patients improve and daily medical care is no longer required, studies show that patients can often make a better recovery at home. • Provides high-quality, coordinated, comprehensive, team-based, and patient-centered care for patients of The Queen's Health System's (QHS) hospitals and clinics, and other hospitals and clinics, as applicable, in the area of Orthopedic Surgery - Spine

As an Integrated Behavioral Health Provider (BHP) at HICHC, you'll be part of a dynamic care team that includes primary care providers, psychiatrists, and other specialists. You'll work side-by-side with medical professionals to support patients' mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being-right where they receive their primary care.
This is not a typical desk job. One day you might be doing a warm handoff in the clinic, the next supporting a patient via telehealth, and another day out in the community helping someone navigate life's challenges. It's meaningful work-and it matters.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the behavioral health expert in a fast-paced, integrated care setting
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide brief interventions

Strong communication skills and a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach
