The Driscoll Health System is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider to join a dynamic team of medical professionals in Pediatric Neurosurgery. The qualified candidate will have completed an approved PA or NP program and must be certified and licensed to practice in the state of Texas (or be able to obtain), a minimum 3 years of operating experience (any surgical specialty) preferred. Pediatric experience is not required, neurosurgery training will be provided. General Position Summary: The Nursery Sitter provides nursery care for the children while the parents are attending Mass. Also be requested to provide nursery care for other parish activities. Responsible for the care and safety of children ages 18 months through age 4. Principal Accountabilities: Works with the nursery coordinator to assure the children are in a safe, clean environment while their parents attend Mass. Responsible for diapering children and assisting children with toilet use. Communicates and interacts with parents, children, and parish staff. Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned. Typical Decisions and/or Recommendations Made in This Position: Determine whether a child's injury merits a call to the 9-1-1 operator. Determine whether a child's health changes significantly enough to merit a call to the parents to be picked up from the nursery.
